Are the missing or dead scientists all connected?

I'm back from Italy. 11 scientists are missing. I forgot I left my conspiracy theory personality at home.

It's not a conspiracy. The White House is looking into it. There are now 10 American scientists who have either gone missing or died. Is anybody investigating this to see if these things are connected?

I've seen the report, Peter. I haven't spoken to our relevant agencies about it.

I will certainly do that and we'll get you an answer. The Daily Mail has been writing about this for weeks. They even made a graphic. Okay, but of the five people on this list, there's been no credible reporting of any foul play. Family members are even coming forward just to say that there's been no suspicious deaths. Did you have that in your backpack? I was in airport hotels for a long time.

Fair. Also, at least three of the people in this graphic aren't even scientists. No, but I'm a journalist who loves facts. Ha ha! But other journalists are talking about it. When you put it all together like that,

it looks like there might be something there definitely to look at.

Right.

That's how conspiracy theories are born, connecting something intriguing without any real connection. But they're all scientists who worked together. This same graphic shows that at least three people in this conspiracy theory have no direct connection to anyone or anything else in it. And the other connections are all loose affiliations over several years according to CBS News.

Okay, but all 11 of them worked for NASA, or the Air Force, or pharmaceutical companies. That describes potentially millions of people. So then why is it in the news? Because the White House said they'd look into it after a Fox News reporter asked about it. Oh yeah, Fox News has been talking about this for weeks. Yeah, exactly. And now, along with some other sources, they're reporting on the same story that they helped to perpetuate.

Without any facts.

Okay, smart guy. What about Major General William Neil McCaslin? Yeah, he's repeatedly mentioned in some of these articles. His disappearance is still unexplained after he left home with just a gun and a backpack. In a Facebook post, his own wife said that he retired 13 years ago and that all these theories are quite unlikely. But they brought the FBI in to look for the Major General. Yeah because he was a super important well-regarded guy who served his country for decades.

Finally! I heard something about the FBI. Did they find him? President Trump were you locked out of that room? He was making me too anxious. This is like how the Trump administration reportedly kept Trump out of the room now. Anyway, sir, the FBI hasn't found the Major General yet. No, I was talking about the head of the FBI. Kash Patel? Oh yeah, apparently he's drinking a lot

and constantly late for work. They even had to put in a request for breaching equipment usually used by SWAT teams because he keeps passing out behind locked doors. Sir, have you learned anything Sir, have you learned anything
