Argentina FUMES as British Warship Enters Its Territorial Waters

Britain's Royal Navy might have just trolled Argentina.That's right, Argentina have lodged a furious complaint after HMS Medway, an offshore patrol ship that is also assigned as guarding the Falkland Islands, passed through Argentinian territorial waters.The vessel was completing a routine passage to a Chilean port, but the Argentinians have lodged a formal note of protest with the British Embassy, describing the movement as unconsulted and illegal, and framing it as a military incursion into waters under Argentine jurisdiction.

Now, the difficulty with this is that it is perfectly allowed under the freedom of navigation rules of the laws of the sea.It is called innocent passage and HMS Medway was well within its rights to do so and the British Embassy indeed had informed the Argentine Foreign Ministry, Defense Ministry, and Joint Chiefs of Staff, they say, in advance of the ship's departure for Chile.So, Argentina, keep crying.
