going to share about 66 million dollars as part of 300 million dollars that the federal government has set aside.

0:07

He's got nowhere to go.Welcome back to Moose on Loose. My name's David.Today, we've got Pierre Poliev trapping Mark Carney between a rock and a hard place. That's right. He has sent Michael Chang over to Taiwan and Carney will not be able to get out of this one.

0:20

We've got some updates on the CBC prank show. We've got a bunch of stuff here.Let's jump into this.On the Globe and Mail, we've got McGinty declines to say whether Canada would send more ships through the Taiwan Strait. This is wrapping in with our headline story here today. So McGinty doesn't want to commit to anything regarding Taiwan, obviously.

0:37

because Xi Jinping is telling Carney what to do with that, as in, don't engage with Taiwan, just say that they're a part of China and everything's good. What do we get today? This is A+.From the Globe and Mail, we see Conservative MP Michael Chang visits Taiwan to meet President in defiance of China. This is exactly what I said the Conservatives should do.They should send someone over there to stir it up, because this is going to piss off Xi Jinping, and then Carney will have to decide.

1:00

Does he decide with a democracy in Taiwan, or the dictatorship in Xi Jinping?Where does his allegiance lie?Is it with China, or is it with Taiwan? When we look at it, I don't think Carney's got a lot of business with Brookfield, his own stocks.Any of his prospects are with Taiwan. That's all with China.

1:14

We got Michael Chang posting this.So sticking it right to them. This just absolutely forces Carney into a rock and a hard place. He can't get out of this.of Trade, Minister of Foreign Affairs. He says his visit to Taiwan has two purposes.

1:41

First, to show solidarity with a democracy at the front lines of intimidation from the People's Republic of China. And secondly, to assert Canadian sovereignty in the face of a warning from the PRC's ambassador to Canada about Canadian MPs traveling to Taiwan.Basically just going there because they said they can't go there. This is a great move because this is forces Carney to choose which country to send hishe side with? What kind of country does he side with a democracy or dictatorship?

2:03

Mr. Wang in an interview with the Globe and Mail on April 30th.So it's going back about almost three weeks ago.He warned that new strategic partnership with Mr. Carney struck with President Xi Jinping would be damaged if Canada allowed any more MPs or senators to visit the small democracy or sent warships through the Taiwan Strait. And we got CTV also posting this, a red line Chinese ambassador condemns Canadian MPs visit to Taiwan. So they're pissed about this already.words.

2:33

or deeds that violate the one China principle and refrain from interfering in China's internal affairs, reads the embassy statement.Carney's screwed with this.He can't get out of this one.Either he loses the crappy trade deal he's got with China or he cozies up with China and shows he's against a democracy, one of our allies. This is some smart stuff by the Conservatives, Pierre Polya. This is A+.

2:55

Moving ahead, we've got Carney's government getting community noted here on X multiple times. We've got the Public Safety Canada account posting this.Bill C -22 would not create new authorities for police and CSIS, it would ensure electronic service providers have the technical capabilities to respond to court orders or warrants to get specific info to help an investigation. So there's CEOs across Canada, CEOs across America, across the world saying this is an awful bill that needs to go.And the community note here saying expands the practical surveillance framework if warrant standards remain unchanged.

3:50

months.Every single month that this government has been in office, Canadian average salaries have increased. And now the IMF says that Canada will be the second strongest economy in the G7 this year and next.We are growing Canada strong.

4:07

So he got community noted here.It says, well, maybe claim that the average asking renting price has declined. It is important to distinguish between asking rent and actual price. The actual rents have increased a total of 21 .9 % since April 2021.During the world event, actual prices rose 0 .9 % from March 2026.This is humiliating.

4:26

He lies in the House of Commons nearly every single day, like a major lie.Moving ahead, we've got Czech news this TD Bank closes its downtown Nanaimo branch partly due to safety. That's right it is so unsafe in this area and I can attest I've been down this area numerous times. It's not a safe area you don't go down here at night time. And the bank has to shut their branch because it's not safe.I mean, what does that say about our country?

5:12

loops, unmarked graves. This is everywhere. We've got this on the Globe and Mail. We've got Aaron Gunn pushing back against this, as Tories question CBC funding of Northland Tales, a satirical indigenous show on residential schools.More fake shows.CBC links Sting tried to lure MP Gunn by posing as Sir John A. Defenders, says internal correspondence from Gunn's office shows staff were told the project was being prepared for CBC, which was allegedly under pressure to provide a balanced view surrounding John A. MacDonald.

5:42

They used that as a lure to try to get Aaron Gunn on this as well. And we've got some receipts here.So this is right here.Counting Coup, the Yes Men.Comedy, $2 .5 to $5 million is what they're spending on this garbage. We've got Billboard Chris posting this, the continuing story gets crazier by the day.

5:59

So he says here, this was originally posted by Lindsey Shepard, they invited RCMP veterans to thank them for their life of service only to shame them in front of a live studio audience for the RCMP's alleged historical crimes against indigenous people.Appalling.This is what CBC spending our money on.Lindsay Shepard sharing some emails she got from this phony bloney company. If you want to pause and read them here, but I mean, just they set up a fake company here, Forge Media, which you can see this logo. This logo was ripped off.

6:26

Somebody found this out from this Forge student ministry. This here is a ministry of the internet.Highland Baptist Church in Southwest Highland Avenue, Redmond, Oregon. They ripped off a logo of a Baptist church to run their fake company.I mean, look at the logo here. This is so painfully close in design.

6:44

See, go back and forth here. This is obviously, they ripped this off. They just changed this from student ministry to media and changed the logos a little bit so it's not exactly the same anvil.Like it's just disgusting. And there's a couple more emails here.Hi, Lindsay.

Does February 8th work for you? This is just all the correspondence. And here's another one.And another one.Michael Smith, Heritage Figures of Canada.Phony baloney company.

7:08

Moving ahead, we've got Tim Hodgson here giving a press conference on support for the B .C.forestry sector. As we see here, federal government invests $12 million in B .C.forestry sector.

7:17

I mean, this is peanuts compared to what they're giving to the for the steel and aluminum bailout. As it mentions here, I mean, the tariffs hit Canadian industries were offered $1 .5 billion and forestry gets $12 million and they employ more people than all those sectors combined. But anyways, Tim Hodgson here gets humiliated by the reporter because David Eby, nobody showed up for this because really it's pretty insignificant.

7:38

MacArthur Global News.I can't help but notice that there's no British Columbia representatives here today.David Eby's not here.Provincial representatives, Ravi Parmar's not here. They have been extremely critical of the federal government's support of British Columbia's forestry industry, as you say is the backbone of this province. Is there a disconnect between what British Columbia needs and what the federal government is offering?

8:03

come downtown this afternoon and you could see me with premier E .B.and we'll have an announcement downtown this afternoon.

8:10

So, uh, this guy is just as arrogant, has just as big egos.Mark Carney, Snyder remark. It's a fair observation.Nobody showed up for this because this is a pitiful announcement considering the size of the industry working very constructively.I talk regularly with minister, uh, Parmar, uh, uh, minister Parmar has had significant input into the, the task force.

9:03

international tech conference now these 44 projects These are small and medium sized businesses that need more commute compute power for their AI technology and there are 44 projects and they're going to share about 66 million dollars as part of 300 million dollars that the federal government has set aside For this fund and this initiative.

9:26

So they're spending 66 million dollars here to 44 companies a million something apiece and one of them is to fight forest fires with AI.And like, sure, we want to try out these new ideas to try to identify forest fires, but how about we just fund forestry workers formanagement workers to go and clear out the debris, create fire breaks, things that actually work to prevent forest fires. You know, those things they didn't do in Jasper, even though they were warned for years because the pine beetle had killed all the trees, that kind of stuff.Instead, they're going to fund AI because Brookfield is invested in this.Of course, this all comes back to Brookfield.

9:59

And while Brookfield, I don't know if they're getting any of this money, bolstering this industry in Canada can only be good for Brookfield.Because the more energy they need, they have to then buy that from Brookfield, because Carney's going to be pushing forward his electricity strategy. We know full well that's going to be focused on green energy.Brookfield is already a world leader in this.

10:15

For those of you who are not Canadian, we have terrible wildfires issues. And in 2018, the air quality here in Vancouver was brutal. And a PhD student, Hamid, looked at that.and he was studying different parts of AI, and he thought, I should solve that with fire prevention. And he built an AI system that's used now in 11 countries, and they're innovating to give critical infrastructure and governments a better chance to detect where fires can crop up, including at what's called the smoldering phase, so early phase for resources. This is what not what AI is, but what AI does.

10:53

So instead of buying water bombers, which are literally built in Alberta, but the companies build them and then sell them to other countries because our country is too dumb to buy them, they're going to use AI for forest fires instead of just basic forest management and water bombers. If they did step one and two first and then step three was this AI program.Sure.Why not?If it can help, it can help. But you can't skip the basics in life here.

11:15

Federal government put out the call to find projects like this, you know, companies that need more compute power. They put out this call last year, and there's quite a bit of response.

11:25

Of course there is, because Brookfield wants to sell their renewable energy to these companies.Moving ahead, we've got this one from Black Locks Reporter. It says, tariffs imposed by Canada reach consumer prices, adding roughly 0 .3 percentage points to consumer price inflation.

12:20

More Canadians are waking up not knowing how they'll pay their debt on time.Insolvency filings are at their highest levels in nearly two decades. As Angie Sath explains, there could be even more financial distress to come.

12:49

quarter of 2026.And that's an increase of 8 .5 % compared to the same time last year. One insolvency trustee CBC spoke with says big mortgage or car debts are making it difficult for some Canadians to stay afloat.

13:04

It costs a lot of money to live.So we all go to the grocery store, everything costs more money.you go to the gas station everything costs more so our expenses for most for the most part are rising a lot faster than what our incomes are how do you bridge that gap well you do it with debt but if we are to look at these numbers on a per capita basis the insolvencies picture is

13:30

as dire. And that's because Canada's population increased significantly over the last few years. But Hoyse says there is a concern when you are seeing insolvency levels that are significantly higher than a year, two years or even three years ago.And for provinces where the real estate market is cooling and values are dropping, Hoyse says that could exacerbate the situation, especially for those caught in having purchased a pre -construction build.

13:55

So we are seeing a number of people who are deciding, you know what, I'm just going to sell my house and get out and use whatever money I can to service my debt.So that is keeping the number of insolvencies down because people still have some real estate wealth left.

won't negotiate supply management which is less than 1 % of our GDP.

14:38

And Hoy says the uncertainty in trade, energy prices and employment will continue to impact Canadians.

14:45

This is Carney's legacy here.Yeah.Thank you for the attention on this matter. And to wrap this episode up, we've got hero British cop saves live of American officer while on holiday in Nashville. So this guy here on the right is a American police officer. He was in a fight with a Tennessee local.

15:00

The local was pow powing him on the street. The British cop gets off the plane 10 minutes off the plane. He comes across this situation.he comes and wrangles the guy from behind, helps the cop.The vagrant even was able to grab the pew -pew of this cop and pew -pew him through the holster into the leg and the British cop saves him here.I stopped my car to see what was going on.

15:20

The suspect was on top of the officer and he was head -butting him, pow -powing him, biting him.He decided to jump on top of him and he was able to pull him off and hold him down while his girlfriend Emily, who was also a constable in England, called the local police and asked for backup. This is unreal. You got a couple cops to show up out of from England, help this other cop who really needed it.Another happy ending.
