Former Attorney General Pam Bondi testifies on Capitol Hill over the Epstein files.Ain't it great to see folks come out of retirement to do what they do best, like lie?This is just another day.You know, it's always a sad moment at work when one of your colleagues moves on from their position, but luckily, the good ones are always nice enough to pop back in from time to time.

Former Attorney General Pam Bondi is on Capitol Hill to be interviewed by the House Oversight Committee.Bondi is expected to face questions about failing to fulfill her promise to publicly release the DOJ's Epstein files.

right now, was back on Capitol Hill today to answer questions from the House Oversight Committee.And if I may just take a second here, I'd like to give a special shout out to the chairman of that committee, Mr. James Comer, who from the very beginning has made his mission vis -a -vis the Epstein files abundantly clear.

As chairman of the House Oversight Committee, I've always believed that sunshine is the best disinfectant.For years, the American people have demanded transparency about Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell's horrific crimes.We are committed to accountability, transparency, and justice for the American people and for the survivors of these appalling crimes.

All hail James Comer, because if I'm being honest, the only saving grace in all All of this is that thanks to the chairman's courageous leadership, Pam Bondi is going to face one hell of a reckoning when the world finally sees the footage from today's deposition.

Not notably, this closed door hearing is not being recorded on video.That is a departure from how this committee investigating the Epstein case has handled some of their other interviews.

Huh.Um, I guess sunshine wasn't the best disinfectant on this particular stain on our nation's justice system.Makes sense.I mean, why would James Comer want a visual record of the one personclosest to the Epstein files when there are so many more important things for him to document for the American people?Like him in front of a river.

Or a beach.Or getting a haircut.you know, real important shit.But today, even before Bondi's testimony, Comer spoke to reporters and was asked if he planned to question the former AG over her legal obligation to release all of the Epstein files, which, I believe, if my memory serves me correctly, she did not do?

Huh.

I think that's what some people would call, and I hope I'm pronouncing this legal term correctly, bullshit.

You know, I'm afraid Comer's barber may have accidentally trimmed off some of his spine because he doesn't seem to have one left, and as proof of that, Here's Exhibit B. Yeah.

I don't know how to break this to you, Congressman Comer, but you are the government.That's like Lauren Boebert saying that she's extremely disappointed in the actions of her own hand.But eventually, Bondi's testimony got underway, and while there were no cameras in the room, the Democratic members of the Oversight Committee were gracious enough to periodically pop out and give us an update on how things were transpiring.

When asked specifically about a conversation with Donald Trump, one of the Department of Justice attorneys,intervened and said that she did not have to answer the question because it was a voluntary interview.and said, in fact, quote, we don't even have to assert privilege because of that, and said, quote, we refuse to provide answers.

Wow.That really flies in the face of what this other woman said not that long ago.

No one in this country is above the law.

Just wait until today's Pambandi meets two months ago Pambandi.There's going to be hell to pay.But before you go thinking that this former attorney general completely stonewalled members of Congress today, she did in fact have some words of her own.

I also personally asked the former AG five times and five different questions about her conversations with President Trump, whether he directed her at any given time on the Epstein files, what he knew, what he asked her to redact or not, and she refused to answer any questions.about President Trump.

In fact, Panbandi said, I'm not too familiar with who this Mr. Trump guy is. I mean, I know you keep showing me all these photos of us together, but I meet so many people who partied with pedophiles.It's honestly hard to keep track.Huh.So in her brief time off, Bondi's clearly been taking some art classes, mainly the art of deflection.Was there anything else of note from today's testimony?

What she's saying here, in her words and remarks, is that it was Todd Blanche, the current acting AG, that was leading the Epstein investigation, and quite frankly, all of the mistakes that we saw, the redactions, not protecting survivors, She continues to push that back onto the acting AG, Todd Blanche, who by the way, was Donald Trump's former personal lawyer.Wow.

Pam Bondi is really throwing Todd Blanche under the bus.Just wait until the president hears about what his acting attorney general has done.He'll probably give him a double promotion.He knows, Todd.He knows.Obviously, after today, a myriad of questions remain.

Questions like, did Bondi coordinate with Trump to cover up the files?Is Todd Blanche trying to suppress more documents from being released to protect his boss slash former client?Did James Comer dispose of a body minutes before taking this photo?I think we all know the answers to these questions.But there's another question that's still lingering after today.

Any sense of when we'll get the transcript of this meeting?

Your guess is as good as mine with this?I actually think that I can answer this.Republicans have stated that the release of the transcript from today's testimony will follow the same model as is standard for the Department of Justice, which means the transcript is already sitting on James Comer's desk for review.After that, Comer will gather some influencers to look at the transcript in binder form.Following that, Congress will pass legislation requiring the release of the transcript, after which the Oversight Committee will release a portion of the testimony, but with all of Bondi's testimony redacted.In the end, they'll release half of the transcript, but claim that they released the whole thing.

Honestly, if Republicans are to take anything away from Pam Bondi's testimony today, let it be this.In Donald Trump's GOP, that's it.There is no floor when it comes to debasing yourself.Yes, even after you've sacrificed your reputation on the job, once you've been fired, you're also expected to sell your soul after the job.So buckle up, John Cornyn.There is plenty more hawking of Trump merch in your future.

It would be bad enough if Pam Bondi was on record as being the chief person who protected pedophiles when she was Attorney General, but now she's just doing it, what, for the love of the game?Pam!You don't have to worry.Your legacy has already been cemented.When it comes to running cover for pedophiles, they are definitely retiring.your jersey.

And what's so sad is that there is a clear path to redemption here for Pam Bondi, if she wanted it.She could easily apologize to the victims, give Congress every ounce of information that she has on the Epstein files, and then come clean about all of the times that she coordinated with Donald Trump to provide him and his rich friends cover.Honestly, after that, it's a pretty straight shot to dancing with the stars and scrounging for dollars on Cameo.But we all know that's never gonna happen.Well, the... cameo thing will probably happen, but not the other stuff.And that's because every Republican knows that if you even dare side with the victims, if you have the audacity to advocate for transparency on the Epstein files, Donald Trump will come after you with everything he's got.

When will we see justice?I'll tell you what I've not seen.I've not seen any arrests from the revelations in the Epstein files.

I think moving forward, we need a special counsel.Today, Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert was the target of an apparent pressure campaign by Trump to keep the Epstein files secret.

I believe the country deserves transparency in these files.

The man has a point.And when it comes to colors, you gotta trust the guy who knows every shade of hand paint.Absolutely none of these people want true justice for Epstein's victims, because if they did, they could have provided it ages ago.Instead, they've all chosen to gaslight not just the American people, but those who suffered most, all in the hopes that Dear Leader will approve of their truly abhorrent tactics.One can only hope that when Democrats take back the majority, they adhere to the wise words of one former Attorney General.
