The United States claims to have carried out the largest operation ever seen in Venezuela. On January 3, 2026, Donald Trump announced that US forces carried out large-scale military attacks against objectives in Caracas, La Guaira, Miranda and Aragua, aimed at military infrastructure of the regime. Trump assured that Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores would have been captured and taken off the country by plane in an operation that, according to the government, involved elite units, including Delta Force.
