Family vanishes from home ahead of major police raid | FOX 5 News

For days, investigators have swarmed around a home in Douglas County.The Sheriff's Office has confirmed it has a search warrant for that house in the Windermere community.That is where we find Fox 5's Kevin Stewart tonight, Kevin.

Hey, you know, the Douglas County Coroner's office says whatever's been going on out here, they have nothing to do with it.So that is one important clue.But it goes without saying that having law enforcement staked out in front of the house for four days is not normal.And that's led to a lot of speculation and it has people concerned in this community.Big homes and an even bigger mystery on this fairly new street, Langdale Chase.

I was not aware of any activities.

This neighbor did not want to be identified, but she, like others we talked to off camera, want to know what's going on here.

I'm just worried about the family.

A family with kids who she has not seen since last week.

It looks like somebody got hurt.You can just tell that something serious has happened because of how much effort.Today is day four, I believe.

Investigators have not said what's going on here yet.

Very nice family.had the chance to meet the husband when we moved here.And the wife, I don't really know her per se.And then the children go to the same schools with my kids, some of them.I wish them well, and I pray for them.

This is video of Douglas County deputies on scene early Wednesday morning.Neighbors first noticed sheriff's investigators here Tuesday afternoon.This is video of crime scene units from Wednesday morning.just before two Friday afternoon, it appeared investigators were done executing the search warrant.Residents in this normally quiet neighborhood will have to remain patient, which she admits is not easy.

I've never been scared around here.If they're having an active investigation, they have the right to withhold information for the success of their investigation.I'm just very surprised.

All right.Now, the sheriff's office says that once they're done executing their search warning,it certainly looks like they have.They will let us know what's been going on here the last four days.We will continue to stand by and wait for an update.We're live in Douglas County, Kevin Stewart, Fox 5 News.
