is they are slashing public servants. They are not investing in nurses. They are not investing in care workers.

0:06

He is not happy with Carney.Welcome back to Moose and Loose. My name is David.Today, we have one of the last living fathers of the Constitution is not happy with what Mark Carney is doing. We had pundits on CBC yesterday criticizing Carney's economic update. Now we've got the same thing.

0:20

But on CTV, it was also found in his update that they want to give the police the ability to seize our mail. We've got a bunch of other stuff.Let's jump into this.Starting this episode off, we've got Kirk Lubomov posting this.Bloomberg, Taiwan's equity market has overtaken Canada's to become the world's sixth largest driven by strong demand for AI linked shares and the rapid rise of chip giant TSMC.So Taiwan's stock market here becomes the sixth largest dethroning us and we've got Ezra Levant posting, didn't they hear about Mark Carney?

1:14

How about, I can't read this, this is funny, about how he's catalyzing and transforming things at scale with sovereign wealth funds.Didn't they hear about his Davos speech?Canada keeps slipping. We got this one here from Canada Proud. An internal memo from the Department of Foreign Affairs says that purchasing an 8 .8 million penthouse for Canada's Consul General Tom Clark, former CTV anchor in New York, gave the impression that the government is disconnected from the financial struggles facing everyday Canadians. No kidding there, Sherlock.

1:47

Food affordability remains a major concern for Canadians. There's new information out just this morning. It shows 34 % of consumers have had to draw on savings or borrow money to buy food. This is according to a report by the AgriBank.Analytics Lab at Dalhousie University. The report surveyed 3 ,000 Canadians in March.

2:06

It revealed household food spending is still going up, reaching an average of $519 per month. That is up 4 .6 % year over year.Affordability now dominating food choices.45 % of respondents are choosing the more affordable option instead of choosing nutrition or taste.

2:24

This is what I mentioned the other day, people are going to just prioritize eating things that are cheap and you know defaulting to rice.Rice is devoid of nutrients for the most part.Anything that doesn't have color doesn't have a lot of nutrients in it and that's what we're going to see. We're going to see people end up with scurvy and all sorts of other diseases because prioritizing just getting something calories versus something nutritious and things that we want to eat.And on the job front, it's not much better. We've got David Cochran here and Lisa Raitt talking about EI, the canary in the coal mine.

2:52

Something that you and I both know a lot about, being where we're from, the EI extension that's happening.

2:59

Yes.

3:00

That is the warning sign.that we know that there's going to be problems coming.I mean, you've seen announcements already happening from large corporations getting ahead of what they perceive as being downturns in their own economies and offering buyouts and offering retirement packages.I think that's just the beginning.

3:31

ex -Newfoundland Premier who helped patriate the Charter, says the Carney government is acting unconstitutionally by asking the Supreme Court to gut the notwithstanding clause. He says here the background Quebec's Bill 21 uses section 33 notwithstanding clause to protect its law on religious symbols for public servants.Carney liberals filed a factum, made oral arguments last month demanding the Supreme Courtlimit how provinces can use it.Peckford is furious. Here's what Karni government told the court.

4:12

Peckford helped write the real amending formula, seven provinces represented 50 % of the population, not four Supreme Court judges in Ottawa. This is insidious, Peckford said. The federal government is now trying to usurp and change the constitution.Even wilder, after all this, Carney in Quebec's new premier, Christine Fratourette, and swore his government had no intention of limiting the clause.Justice Minister Sean Frazier even apologized, too bad the arguments were already filed and the court is deliberating.Peckford's message is crystal clear.

4:42

The federal government does not have the power, nor does the court. They're out of line.He wants the Supreme Court to toss the feds factum entirely.I agree this bypasses everything the Constitution stands for.And then he says, my fear with the current activists bent on the court, they might just give Carney what he wants, and he'll still claim I didn't amend anything.Provinces rights, parliamentary sovereignty and the deal Peckford and others struck in 1982 are all on the line.

5:06

Here it is again.backing our rights because that's what they do.Can we cut to the chase and establish that Canada is being governed by totalitarian tyrants?Yes.Yes, Canada is.Yes, we are.

5:16

Now, what's interesting is we've got Pierre Polyaev going after Mark Carney's awful economic predictions. He's been wrong, as Polyaev has pointed out over and over and over. He's been wrong on the world event, deflation, all of that stuff. And we've got this guy here, Rod Vanier. This is just a mouthpiece for the PMO for Mark Carney. That's all this guy is on Twitter.

5:34

And just look at this.If you think you can slander Mark Carney's reputation like you did Justin Trudeau, you've got another thing coming to you. They don't want Polyev to bring up exactly how bad Mark Carney is. I think he should keep doing it and just make sure he detaches himself from his university training.Oxford and Harvard, and just make sure it's clear that it's attacking his economic predictions, which have been awful. And then they have nothing to say.I mean, they can keep putting this crap out.

5:59

On this episode of Far Off Ripoff, we've got $6 million going to RENIS, Restoration of Ecological Connectivity in Areas Affected by Forest Fires in London.Peru.Yeah, but we were not even focusing our money in our own country for forest fires. We're doing it in Peru. And six million bucks.Who cares about food banks in Canada?

6:20

Six million bucks to Peru. And look at this, it gets worse. So we've got a description here. The project seeks to promote the adaptation of nature -based solutions and implementation of gender -sensitive and intercultural territorial governance mechanisms.Did Mark Carney write this himself? You know what?

All these far -off ripoffs that I've brought over the past couple of years, especially the through the Trudeau eras, they all sound like they came from Mark Carney. And he's the one who's pushing this through. That's what I think has happened here.I mean, you see here promoting adaptation, regenerative climate, smart agriculture practices, agroforestry systems, vegetated firebreaks, etc.It says strengthening capacity of financial institutions, local governments and land management platforms to integrate gender, climate and biodiversity considerations into their policies, services and investments.Oh, really?

7:07

How does that work out?I didn't realize the environment has a gender. It goes on to say, Yeah, okay.Is Carney creating new Brookfield clients over there or are they just laundering our money?Moving ahead, we've got update here on King Charles 24 -hour visit to Canada last year and how much it cost us.Spoiler alert, it's $2 .6 million.

7:38

That's right. This cost as much or more than the by -election for King Charles to come for one day, says, according to Overnight Conference.of $870 ,000 for the ceremonial air force flyover nearly $860 ,000 for police expenses $370 ,000 for air and ground transportation this just gets stupider by the second here so you can see the total breakdown here national defense $1 .2 million public safety like look at this for King Charles to come over for one day they spent $20 on a wet ice bag for a hot sauce bottle. We've got fresh squeezed orange juice, $75.Fresh squeezed apple juice, $75.That makes Stephen Harper's $8 glass of orange juice seem like child's play, doesn't it?

8:21

Milk. One liter, 21 bucks. One liter of coffee cream, $22.We've got a case of water, 47 bucks.Ice cream, 1 .5 liters, 31 bucks. And look at this fresh mint, a bunch of fresh mint, 10 bucks.

8:34

This is what they're wasting our money on.The only thing you can do is laugh at this because this is just insane. What's also insane is what they tried to hide in this economic update. We've got liberal snuck search and seizure of your mail into the budget update, and it's going to pass because of the majority. We got Ryan Gerritsen posting a screenshot of it here.So lawful search and seizure of mail in the Economic Spring Update 2026, the government proposes to amend to the Canada Post Corporation Act to enable law enforcement to lawfully search and seize mail as authorized under the Act of Parliament.

9:06

North Korea, here we come.Carney might as well go over and meet Kim Jong -un at this point.I love their logic.Lawfully committing an act that infringes on people's right, not committing a crime.Yeah.How do you lawfully infringe on someone's rights?

9:19

Jumping over to CTV, we've got some more pundits criticizing Mark Carney's terrible economic update. Here, we've got a couple of little segments here on CTV.

9:37

Patty Heidoo out saying conservatives aren't.Canadian.And Cory Hogan was retweeting the IMF, said Canadians have never had it so good. And that necessarily, from a communications standpoint, does not hit home.Look, there's a few things in this document, like the grocery rebate. It's not really a grocery rebate.

9:54

It's a GST credit that's been repackaged, communications -wise, for that. But the thing I was struck with in this entire document is, Vashi, I've been through several of these things.I've sat on this panel back when Christa Freeland was tabling her fall economic update, as it was at the time, and there was going to be a path to balance. And then six months later, the budget came over and it was, suckers, nothing to see here. So, you know, color me a little bit skeptical. We'll see where things go when the budget comes.

10:25

But there was that. And the other thing from a communications standpoint, strategy.Strategy, strategy, strategy appears 97 times in this document.I was struck by that.We need less strategy and more action, I think.

10:38

Yep, let me show you something I found in there. This was deep into the document says strengthening the future of Canada's airports.Airports are vital national asset.Set out in budget 2025, the government is committed to reforming Canada's airport system to lower air passenger costs and better position airports to attract private investment. In this context, since the budget, the government has begun to consider reforms to modernize the government of airport authorities, explore options.I should have highlighted this to explore options to update the framework for airport rents and to increase the capacity of airports for economic development and reinvestment in infrastructure.

11:13

And then it goes on to say here, timely resolution of air passenger complaints. It says down here, spring economic update, a backlog of air travel complaints by engaging in neutral third party dispute resolution organization based on a proven model in the UK and EU beyond the backlog.I think Mark Carney is going to reduce the fees that the airports have to pay the rents to the airportairport authority. He's going to reduce those by law, make them cheaper. Then he's going to offer up some of these private airports or maybe just some of them already available.

11:42

And Brookfield is going to come in and buy some of those up.Maybe he'll offer up these 99 year lease or 50 year lease, whatever it may be.Brookfield will then put up $2 billion of capital, stick it in the Canada Growth Fund.Carney can stick his chest out and say, look what I did.I got $2 billion in this fund by leasing out our airport for the next 50 years or 100 years.Well, Brookfield gets their money back in five or six or eight years by running a cash cow asset that would typically generate a lot of money for Canada.

12:07

Then instead, Brookfield would get that money. And then after five or 10 years, when their investment is paid back, then they just make profit for the next 90 years or 40 years or whatever it may be.So I think he's setting up an environment here that is, well, it's directly going to benefit Brookfield. Now, jumping back to this, listen to Kathleen Monk here.

12:30

You have two parties right now who both want to communicate around that issue, which maybe hasn't always been the case, Kathleen, over the last number of years.Does, and I spoke about this a bit earlier, but from where you sit, does the size of the deficit matter politically?

12:43

I don't think it matters to Canadians.Canadians, let's face it, Carney has a 20 % deficit.four -point lead in terms of variability numbers. He's sky -high in the polls and a year out from his election, which is just basically a year ago, people are giving him the time. They're giving him the leeway. They just gave him a majority, in fact, two weeks ago.

13:01

That's not correct. He stole a majority by doing dirty backroom deals. Now, I did have a conversation with a neighbor recently, and I have come to the conclusion that a lot of people just who don't pay attention and we're talking someone who's conservative, doesn't pay attention to the news, thinks Carney is doing the right thing by going around the world and getting more trade deals and doesn't really realize what Carney's agenda is.So just in general, thinks Carney is doing OK and doing the right things. We need to wake up all these people.I've got a bunch of plans to try to handle this situation.

13:28

I mentioned before the posters.I'm still working on it.these in the grocery store at the bulletin board at the front and start reading through the old conflicts of interest. It needs to be just very to the point. And we need to have a whole bunch of things.Any sort of scandal, just have it like very simple on a poster and put it out there because they can't stop us from doing this.

It's the best way to reach all Canadians.Going back to Kathleen Monk here, listen to this.

14:13

They've included, but I want to say it does feel to me like the Carney government, the Carney Liberal government is choosing kind of pick winners and losers when it comes to workers.is they are slashing public servants. They are not investing in nurses. They are not investing in care workers in terms of and care workers, whether that's for the elderly or for child care. But they are investing a lot in the trades and the trades is is great to invest. We need to build Canada.

14:39

Sure.

14:39

But there's a reason for that because Brookfield is not invested in care workers and hospitals and nurses. They're invested in infrastructure and building things. They need trades workers.Carney, everything he does is for the benefit of Brookfield and his own fund.Every single day, every Everything he does always lines up with that.Listen to Dan Moulton here.

14:56

This guy has no idea what's going on.

15:11

questioning the prime minister's economic credentials.

15:20

Every time Polyev brings it up, he says one, two, three, four, five, six, everything Carney was wrong on.The only thing Polyev needs to change is the messaging to make sure he's attacking Carney's predictions, his economic policy outlooks, and not so much he got trained in Oxford or Harvard.Like, who cares about that?He has expensive training. His predictions on the economy, what's going to happen, have all been wrong. And that's where it just needs to be focused, because the media is taking the statements and then twisting it like, how dare you attack Carney going to Oxford and Harvard?

15:47

It's like, that's not what we're talking about here.Carney being dead wrong on saying where the economy is going and what's going to happen.

16:19

They talk to CFIB, they talk to forest producers, the vehicle manufacturers, National Bank, and all saying that this government and bureaucracy loves regulation. They love the word regulation. If we're going to get serious about stimulating this economy, yes, these things, other things here may be necessary, but we've got to cut, cut, cut that regulation. We're just getting regulated to death. And I'm hearing that increasingly from others saying the bureaucracy is setting back in People say they want action, but in fact, they are really ruling the roost on actually making things happen.

17:13

world and we will get our country back here.
