More than $300,000 in stolen property seized in retail theft bust

More than two dozen people are facing charges after Hamilton police say they busted an organized retail theft ring.Investigators released this video showing some of the items they recovered as part of Project Checkout.They say more than $300 ,000 in suspected stolen property was seized.

Police say the investigation started after they noticed a 25 % increase in thefts at Home Depot stores in the city.Groups allegedly stole high value tools and construction equipment, then resold them online.32 people are facing a combined 235 charges.
