With that, hello guys, welcome to the vlog. Today is going to be such a fun little family day. Holden and Lily are coming over. Shane was supposed to come but he has some friend stuff to do today. So we're having a little day today. I've been waiting for this.
Let me show you guys what we have for him. Cal and I have been accumulating things to give to him today. Okay everybody, five big sips. I'm wearing this jersey that I got in Japan at, I think this store is called A-Land. I did cut it. I feel like maybe with this fabric, I should do like a little hem all the way around
to give it like a nice, you know, smooth edge versus this raw edge. But I just gave it a little chop today. It's a little cuter with my jeans. I'm wearing my Alice in Libya cargo jeans that I wore to Coachella that I wear like on rotation and that's the outfit for today
I threw my hair in a ponytail no makeup because I'm just not feeling it today But as I said, let me show you guys the stuff that we've been accumulating for. Mr. Holden. I'm so excited to see him I swear and I know all moms aunts older sisters anybody out there who has like a baby in your life They grow so fast. I swear. I don't see him for like a couple weeks and all of a sudden he's like pronouncing words correctly now and I'm like, this is crazy.
Okay, first off we got him this really cute pizza counter. It's so cute, it's got like a little pizza box, all the toppings. We also got him these in Japan, which he's definitely not old enough to use these yet, or maybe he is. To be honest, I know very little about children. Honestly, maybe he is, because this baby on here is pretty young.
Regardless, these are training chopsticks. So we have ones with stars on there, and then we also got him Lightning McQueen. So he is obviously Korean, so he's gotta learn how to use the chopsticks. He's Asian.
Also today, I believe we're going to the beach. If not, I still got this just in case to have at the house for whenever he comes over and wants to go to the beach. I got this on Amazon, I'll link it down below. Honestly, there were so many options, but this one had the most bang for your buck. Look, in here, it comes with all this stuff.
We have a beach bag, two beach bags, three beach bags. Wow, it's a counting game too. And then all of these toys, I got this one specifically because it has the, not Tonka trucks, but these trucks that you can play in within the sand. We've got buckets, which also, I thought this was so smart and like,
things are so different now than when I was a child. Now, buckets can be collapsible, which actually, you know what? I'm sure they had this in the early 2000s, but still. I was just like, wow, that's so smart. Collapse it and put it in your beach bag. Keep it all nice and tidy. There's also a bunch of sand toys.
So you can build a sand castle, dinosaurs, he'll love that. These remind me of stencils, or not stencils, like jello molds. Anyways, he's gonna I love so much. And yes, with that, he should be here so soon. I can't wait to see him.
Cal's out running errands right now, so he's not here. So he's gonna get here and be like, where is Uncle Cal? I'm feeling really, really nervous. I really want to have a moment where I can get to the beach tonight and just like sit on the beach for a little bit by myself because I really want To take it all in I feel like a lot of times life is just so go go go go go go
And I talked about this but after the wedding I realized how I really struggled being present because I feel like I'm always like thinking about the next thing thinking about the next thing I just had a work call and we're going over things for like the next month Which it's such a blessing and so exciting but at the same time too, it does hinder me sometimes from being able to just sit and enjoy the moment. I'm so blessed and so grateful, but I really wanna take this moment in
because I really can't believe this is happening.
It just feels so surreal.
I'm eating my breakfast. It's delicious. Mm, you crushed it. Anyone do this with their bacon? You get your bacon and you plop your eggs on top? You ever do this? I use your bacon as like a chip for your eggs. Oh yeah. All the time. So yes, there's a lot to get done today.

We're about to head out the door and go to the studio because we're recording some more BU today. It actually worked out really well though because if you guys didn't know, Cal is our producer and videographer for the Patreon, but we did need some help with an episode today
because we're playing Jeopardy and we needed help with someone Announcing it so that obviously could all play and like one of us doesn't know the answers So either way he's coming to the studio today as well. And I was like perfect you drive. I gotta work I gotta get all my stuff done for the announcement tomorrow. I want to make sure a blog goes out I want to make sure a main channel video goes out. I want to make sure all the Instagram content goes out. We filmed the TikTok yesterday. So it's going to be pretty crazy, but lots of prep. Very exciting.

I actually ended up going to dinner with Hill, which it was so good to see her. I actually haven't seen her since the wedding. So we got to catch up on everything that's happened since then. And honestly, I started getting really, really nervous before I went to dinner,
just because tomorrow is such a big day And I'm just really nervous how it's gonna go. I hope that it's well received I hope that people are happy and excited and it's just so crazy that this is something I've worked on for so long and finally The public is going to know about it, but I'm so happy I saw Hill if you don't know Hill is one of my good friends from college, meaning we've been friends now for 12 years and it was so good to see her. Every time I see her, I'm just reminded of our little selves,
our 18 and 19 year old selves when we met and it was just so nice to see her. I missed her so much. It's also really crazy because right around the time when I met her, I'll never forget the first night that we met, there was a party at her house, which also was the house that I was at like a majority of my freshman year because I was always hanging out with Hill
and our other friend Danielle and Steph and everybody. And I'm seeing Steph this week for the Atlanta show. It's just crazy how fast time flies and also how much of our lives have changed over the past decade plus. And also how much has like still been the same
with our friendships. And it's just been really, really cool. So, it was so fun to see her, and also I was just thinking about how when I first met her, is right around the time when I started to teach myself how to cook, from watching YouTubers, watching Food Network,
learning from my mom. And it's just this crazy full circle moment. But, with that all being said, stuff that I have to get done tonight. I want to make sure that everything's kind of in line for the launch tomorrow. And then also, I really, really, really want to clean the house because when the house is clean, I feel like my mind is clean. I feel like I can just breathe and think properly
and all those things. I do not like living in a mess at all. So tonight we're going to clean to ensure that tomorrow we wake up and are set up for success no matter how it goes because it's out of my control now. I also wanted to talk about how, although I have so much on my plate tonight and so much going on tomorrow,
I still, I get a lot of questions always like, how do you maintain so many friendships and how do you have long lasting friendships and all those things? While we talk about this, I'll put this face mask on that I got in Japan and to be so honest while my schedule is so so busy tonight and my schedule just been so busy lately in general my priority has been and always will be my friends and my family I try my best when I make plans to commit to plans
obviously sometimes it doesn't always work out and sometimes you know I do have to cancel and sometimes friends have to cancel on you know that's just life but my friends and my family are a huge huge huge priority in my life and as crazy and busy as work things can get Sometimes it's just work and a lot of my work isn't real life if that makes any sense I know what feels like when you guys watch my vlogs you get to see everything going on in my life But there's obviously so much that goes on in my life where I'm not vlogging in general.
Obviously you're only seeing like a little portion of my life when I vlog, whether it's not captured because I wasn't vlogging or I just choose to not share it, but my friends, my family are my real life. They are my life.
So I always try my best to make time for them no matter how busy life gets because at the end of the day, it's kind of all that really matters is the people that you love and the people around you. And also, if you expect people to show up for you, then you need to show up for them. Also, as I was saying earlier, I was just feeling really nervous and anxious about tomorrow.
And I walked into dinner, and as soon as I put my phone away and I was just with Hill and we were catching up on everything and we were talking about everything that's happened in the past couple months, all of that anxiety went away and I was able to just be present with her. And I know I talked about this morning how I kind of struggle being present sometimes. I think just being with friends and family is such a grounding way for me to remember what's real
and what's not and what's worth getting anxious about and what's not. Obviously you can't control it, but I feel like those techniques help me ground myself. When sometimes my mind can just be going a hundred miles per hour and I can forget what actually matters, if that makes any sense.
But yes, with that being said, we are gonna clean and make sure that this place is spick and span for the morning. I'll check in with you after we're done cleaning when I'm just back on my computer getting everything ready. We cleaned Cal tackled the kitchen I tackled the living room and I had to put all my clothes away
I really I should pack because I'm leaving for Miami not tomorrow, but the next day in the morning But I don't want to I'll pack tomorrow. Also, I just have to show you guys. It's so cute I'm editing the vlog that's going up tomorrow That is announcing that we moved, and announcing the cookbook, obviously. And I just pulled a screen grab from the vlog. It feels surreal today. And now I need to pack. I was gonna pack when I got home, but we finished filming a little bit early and I would love to have tonight just to spend with Cal. So I'm gonna speed pack before we head to the Pretty Basic studio and make sure that we are packed for the next week.
I was debating coming back and forth between Miami and Atlanta because the Miami show is on the 14th, meaning on Thursday, and the Atlanta show is on the 20th, meaning the following Wednesday. So basically it's a little bit less than a week. Obviously Florida and Georgia are very close to each other.
So I was like, do I go back and forth? Also, of course, I want to see Chesco in Miami. Also, of course, I want to see Steph in Atlanta, but only if they're free. And so everything was up in the air. I was like, do I come back and forth? There's so much going and free and Steph is available and free. And also I'm getting to the Atlanta Aquarium and I'm making everyone come with me. So with that being said, we need to pack for about a week or so.
So with that, I looked up the weather and in Miami, it is hot, hot, hot, hot, hot. Please look at this. It's in the 90s. I will say Florida is definitely more humid than here. And then Atlanta, let's see. Ooh, it's going to rain.
Amazing, it's gonna thunderstorm. And it's gonna be in the high 80s. So a warm, humid thunderstorm. With that being said, I am going to pick out my outfits for the actual show. For Miami, I'm thinking of wearing this dress.
The only thing is I will need to sew this together because it's a little bit too low cut for my chest, especially being on stage. It's so cute. It's from revolve. So adorable. I'm thinking this was some heels, but yeah, I'll just like do a little quick seam up the top so that it's not too cleavagey. So I'm thinking this for Miami. And then also I'm sure when we're in Miami, we're gonna go out. I think we're gonna do a boat day, which I have not been on a boat since Bretman's birthday
if you guys remember and I swore I'd never go on a boat again. I will say I've been on a boat in Miami and it stays usually like in the canal area. So it's not too wavy from what I remembered, but as a girl who gets seasick, and if you guys remember Bretman's birthday, was horrific for me and for many of us on there. I'm a little scared.
So I might actually skip that day and I might just be in the hotel chilling that day. We'll see how I feel. Regardless, I'm thinking this for Miami. And then I think for Atlanta, that is our last show. And it's kind of the biggest show So I got this dress from the Devin Carlson Reformation collab. This would be so pretty on really comfortable
So I'm gonna bring this as an option. I love the butter yellow This was like the same heels could be really pretty and I'll bring a couple other options as well But I'm just gonna pack some stuff and let's get to it. I'm so so excited. So we just got here. The room is stunning. Let me show you such nice lighting We're staying at the Kimpton which is also the same chain that we had our wedding rehearsal at. Super cute. Walked in the door. We got a floor length mirror here, which is lovely. Here's my plane fit looking, you know, not the best. We've got the shower, toilet, mirror, and then the bed over here. We've got table, chairs, snack bar. And then here is our view of Miami. Oh my God, it's stunning.
I believe we're in South Beach, I think. I'm not 100% sure though.

It's good. I actually love it I was expecting it to be a chili oil, which I love chili oil edamame and chili oil in general But sometimes it feels like a little heavy Hmm. Air fried crispy rice with salmon on top. And of course, to go with that, I had to get a side of spicy mayo. I always have to have spicy mayo with my crispy rice. It is a must. Let's do a little taste. Dip in the spicy mayo, dip in the soy, a dip in the pool, a trip to the spa.
