Officer Loses Control After Driver Asks for a Supervisor.

So apparently this happened in Medford, New York, where Officer Robert Rufrono initiated a traffic stop on Craig Manning for making an illegal left turn.As he was stopped, two officers approached his car from opposite sides and demanded for his driver's license and registration.

No, I said wait till your supervisor's here.Be pissy all you want.

But instead of handing over the documents, Manning repeatedly stated that he wanted a supervisor present before continuing the interaction.The officers then instructed Manning to roll down his window, where he eventually unlocked the car door, but remained inside and continued requesting a supervisor.But as soon as the door was unlocked, Officer Robert Refrano rushed inside the car and grabbed Manning's cell phone from his hand and started to arrest him.In the dash cam footage, we can see Officer Refrano striking Manning in the head and face multiple times.During the struggle, Manning can be heard saying, But after the additional officers arrived, Manning was pulled completely out of the vehicle, was forced to the ground, and was then placed under arrest.He was then taken to jail where he was charged with a resisting arrest and a traffic violation.

He spent 20 hours in county jail before he was released.But in return, Manning sued the department and the officers involved, alleging excessive force and violations of his constitutional rights.However, the case is still pending, so I'll keep you guys updated.
