OUR HONEYMOON BUCKET LIST!! Facing My Fears In Korea!!

Hello guys, good morning. Welcome to the vlog. Before we start, five big sips of water everybody. I went for ten because I needed it today. I woke up feeling quite dehydrated. Actually, we'll just finish this bottle. Needed that. Okay, Cal and I have been eating so many amazing foods on this trip and I have not been drinking enough water. So today I'm going to really focus on drinking more water. We've been having the best trip ever and I just wanted to start off this vlog

with a very quick little heart to heart moment and just say I love my husband so much. As you guys know, we've been together for over six years now, which is crazy. I was telling Cal, I was like, I've known him for like a fifth of my life, over a fifth of my life now, which is so wild because I feel like every day

I'm still learning new things about him and vice versa. But also I feel like I know him and he knows me better than anybody in the world. And this trip has just been so amazing. We've been so blessed and lucky to travel the world and go on so many trips with each other already

before our honeymoon. But this trip has felt so different in the way that obviously we're married now, which is so fun, but also it just feels like such a new chapter in our lives. And I just wanted to say all that because I've been feeling it on my heart and this trip has just been so incredible and it just has really proven to me that I've chosen the right partner and just the most supportive person,

the most loving person. He is so patient. He's so kind. There've been a few days of this trip Which I kind of referenced a little while back and I'm still gonna talk about it when we get back home But again, we are just pushing through with the rest of this trip and I'm feeling much better but there were a few emotionally hard days that I was going through and he is just So supportive and the best and just held me while I was crying and I was like, no no, like let's go, like I feel like I'm ruining the trip. And he just like calmed me down and was like, we're taking the time. We're gonna go through this together and then we will figure it out, which I so appreciate.

So all that to say, Cal, I love you. And today we are going on a really exciting day trip. We're going to Suwon, which I've never been to before. I'm really excited to explore a new area. Massive Starfield library if you've seen that before to get there You can either take the subway for an hour out of Seoul or you can take the KTX Just the bullet train that we took to Busan and that's only a 30-minute ride. So we're taking that one today It is also the coldest day of our trip, which I'm very excited about. So I've layered up quite a bit

I've got my black long-sleeve thermal top from Amazon. It's got a bit of a scoop neck. And then I've just doubled up on leggings. I'm wearing a pair of Lululemon Align leggings underneath so that I like the tight, tight ones. And then I have my Aloe flare ones on top and I feel like these will keep my legs really nice and warm.

And then for my jacket, I'm gonna wear my puffer jacket from Aloe. This is my blue, I believe the color is called Celestial Puffer jacket, which will keep me so warm. And then to extra help me because we're going to be out all day and it's going to get only colder throughout the day. We also yesterday went to NUNU and we got some accessories. I'm going to do a haul before we leave Korea and I've been keeping everything to the side over here, but I do want to wear this. I got this scarf. I think this was actually, they were doing a sale on scarves.

I think it was like 7,000 won, which I believe would be about like $4.50, $5. Let me see. Oh no, $4.90 for this. And it was really nice quality. So I got this blue kind of stripey design and I just thought it would look so cute with my jacket And I love a scarf and also will keep me nice and warm as someone who gets cold so easily But I just love the cold. I'm gonna button this up. Oh my god, it matches perfectly

It's so cute Okay, I love cold weather The only thing I hate about cold weather is that it's so nice and cold outside and you dress for that. And then once you go inside, they've got the heaters blasting and then you're sweating, then you gotta take everything off. All right, that is the look.

I'm wearing Air Force Ones because we're gonna walk around a lot. And then I've got this little Bottega bag that I love so much because it holds all my stuff in here. I have my vlog camera. camera, lip gloss, all the things. Here we go. And with that, let's head out and have

an amazing day in Suwon. Let's go to the train station and get a snack. We're on the way. We're on the way. And my husband got me a delicious iced vanilla latte. Maybe the best on the trip so far. Mm-mm-mm.

To anybody who has all four seasons, this is not going to be that exciting for you, but if you live in California, Southern California, then this is probably just as exciting for you

as it is for me.

Also, you guys, my dad definitely tracked me on find friends and texted me and said he actually grew up in Suwon when he was a baby. He lived here for the first few years of his life which I didn't know and it's so gorgeous and it's so cool to be here. Wow look at that castle looking thing over there. That is crazy. This is so cool. Now we're gonna go over to the, sorry if you can't hear me also it's a little little windy the Hwaso Fortress

It looks beautiful. So we're gonna go check that out, but it's so gorgeous here. I cannot get over it Like are you kidding me? This is insane Wow All those trees Wow. Okay. I think we're gonna walk. It's like a 40 minute walk. Hello guys Okay, it is the next day yesterday was so much fun. If you ever visit Seoul, I highly recommend taking a day trip to Suwon. It was so beautiful and the weather was so nice and all the leaves are so gorgeous. Cal and I were like running through the parks, crunching the leaves. It was just so magical.

And we just had an amazing time and I also just love taking the bullet train. It's so much fun taking that around places And it's so fast, obviously. But it's the next day and look what I have here. I'm about to make a TikTok of me trying all of the gelat. I got it from the freezer and today is the day that I'm going to try it. So I thought maybe you guys would want to see that. Also today, we're having a bit of a slower day just because every day has been so go, go, go. Even before we left for the honeymoon, work was so crazy for me. We have a couple more days here.

There's a few more things that we want to do before we go home. But yes, before we go, are like mochi ice cream. The inside is gelato and the outside is tteok, which is Korean rice cakes.

Here we go. Oh my God, and to me, they look like Nespresso capsules. How gorgeous is that?

Do you guys see that? Look how pretty. So we brought these back. They were in the freezer and I've let them thaw for the past like 30 minutes or so to get nice and hopefully perfectly chewy. Here is the card that they came with and the flavors are

actually here on this side but I think instead of reading it I'm going to surprise myself like a sunny angel and guess what the flavors are and see if I was right. Let's get into it. I'm gonna blue Wow ASMR Can't get a good grip on it Okay, we're not off to a great start Okay, so apparently these are like oh they're perfect do you guys see this it's like so perfectly soft, okay first bite

Hmm Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.

I just need to go back in for a bite. Right off the top, I think this is gonna be my favorite flavor. I think this is like a milk ice cream. I remember there was like a salt flavor, perfectly chewy. It's more stretchy than mochi ice cream usually is.

And the ice cream flavor itself, do you see that?

Next we'll try yellow.

Wow. The texture is so good.

I wish I had a freezer to like eat home

Here we go. I'm assuming this is probably strawberry something.

Oh my God. Also with Asian desserts, the ultimate compliment is not too sweet. So I don't even feel sick right now and I've eaten so many of them already. Okay, next we're gonna do this brown one. I like it. I don't know what it is, almond something? It's very nutty.

Lots of nuts in there. Almond crunch? I don't know. No, pistachio!

Okay, this one's like straight up green, so I'm assuming matcha. Mmm. Oh my god. The gelato is so smooth and creamy. I love green tea ice cream This is really earthy and not too sweet at all. Mmm Okay, here's the purple. I Love vanilla bean. There's lots of nice vanilla bean flex in there. Look at that guys so much vanilla Look at all the vanilla bean flex. I still prefer the blue

Let me go back to the blue the vanilla is definitely definitely a lot sweeter. Like they hold their shape nicely too. This one's definitely salt. Now I go back, it's much saltier.

I like it more.

Okay, last but not least, we have a very special one. I know this is mint chocolate chip because this is Cal's favorite flavor of ice cream. So we got two. Cal and I will take a bite at the same time. Oh, this one's like minty green. It's so cute. You can see the mint and you can see the chocolate chips through the three two one

Hello guys, okay We are out and about, and we came back to Cal's favorite stop so far on the trip, which we came to on our first full day, which was Ikseondong, which is also one of my favorite places in Korea

that I've ever been to. If you guys remember, it's like the Hanoks and the cafes and stuff, and there's something I've always wanted to eat, but I've never tried it yet, so we're gonna try it today. And we're just walking around. I love it here so much. I actually don't know where the restaurant is,

but I figured we would just kinda wander and find it. Because it will pop up. One of my favorite cafes here, it's so beautiful. And they do salt bread now. Just like that, we found it. It's the place with the big long line outside.

Let's do it. We joined the wait list. It was gonna be a while. I think we're like number, hi baby. Number like 15 in line or so. So we got some time. Let's wander. They're making these gorgeous souffle pancakes.

Try. While we wait, I'm gonna go into my favorite rice cake shop and get maybe an iced tea. I love to just look at what they have here too. They have these fresh rice cakes they make every day that are so, so yummy. I got a big pile of cereal from here. The best I've ever had came from this shop,

so I got that. I got a bread-y rice cake, and I got an iced plum tea.

Mm, so good.

We're back, it's almost time to go in, and we got the menu. We flipped back one page, love. So they've got this steak and pasta that looks really, really good. Next, we've got, this is what they're really famous for

and this is what I want, the whole pork belly rosé pasta. Spicy cream pasta, yum. Thank you for my menu, Klumberg. We've got like a clam pasta, we've got risotto, and then this delicious looking omelet.

Highly, highly, highly recommend that pasta. It was so good. I have a similar-ish pasta in the cookbook, but that one was more of like a tomato base. It was also just like a creamy tomato spicy pasta,

which was really good.

There's no tomato base to it It's like a spicy creamy sauce, but I really enjoyed that and I want to try and recreate that at home. So good I'm so full but that was amazing. Hello guys, it's the next day. We've been taking the last couple of days pretty slow because we have been so busy the entirety of this trip that we've just been like really chilling and not doing a ton the last couple of days,

which has been really nice, but we are out and we have two more full days here in Seoul. We've got today, tomorrow, and then we go home which this trip has been amazing. I'm so excited to get home to the girls and get back to routine but also we want to soak up these last couple days. We are currently on the way to the Namsan Tower which the last time I was at this tower I was 15 years old. I went with my family and we did a lock up on the tower and so I've been waiting to go back with Cal, I'm really excited.

It's really cute and also this tower is really special to my family also because when my dad was moving back and forth between Korea and the States during his childhood he said that he would dream of this tower when he was homesick, which is so sweet. So, really excited and we're on our way, let's go!

Let's go. Let's go. Okay, so there are three ways that you can get up to the tower. You can either take a, like a gondola. Sorry, it's really bright. Like a gondola or a, oh yeah, like a cable car.

but I don't think we're gonna do that today. I think we're just gonna explore here and then head to our next destination. I found the Christmas for the holiday season. Wait, I'm reading the sign. It says these are all shiny glowing locks. You can buy like a light up lock here and then they'll light up.

We came to one of my favorite places here in Korea. It's a chain called Dukki.

If you guys remember, we went to the one that just opened up in Orange County. They have them everywhere here. They're in a lot of college towns, I noticed, too.

All right, we are making our tteokbokki. It is a little more brown than red. I am honestly not quite sure what I'm doing because Andrew Sofie helped me last time but that's okay it still tastes good. We've got a plethora of fried things and some fish cake and it's amazing it's all you can eat and it's like seven bucks it's amazing. Yay!

We ordered the corn cheese ring.

Cal is in heaven with the amount of cheese that we were given here. More cheese on top. it's looking good. Okay, the corn cheese was absolutely phenomenal. I remember at the last location, they didn't have the ring and my mom was really sad and I get it now.

The way that it like crisped up on the cast iron and fried was so good and the sauce is perfect. I actually couldn't have made it better, so I'm so happy about that. Incredible. Thanks babe, we're still trucking along. Lunch was amazing. We specifically ate at that location because we wanted to come to a very special place.

Cal, where are we going today?

We're going to Olive Young.

We're going to Olive Young. We're finally doing our Olive Young trip. We're not going to just any Olive Young. Which one are we going to baby? We're going to the one in Songsu. And why? Cause they have a men's section. They have a whole men's floor.

Oh my God, it's so big.

This is the biggest Olive Young ever in all of Korea, in the world. They have a whole men's floor and they'll do like a skin analysis. And Cal is very serious about his skincare. And so we decided to come to this one to check it out. But I think first we're gonna get a coffee just to wake up a little bit. And then we're hitting this.

Wow, they have a whole section just for snacks. Oh my goodness. And I should have known, there's literally a cafe in Olive Young, so we're gonna hit that up. Here is the coffee shop inside.

They have these adorable Olive Young cake pops. They look so good, but I'm so full. And they have a full-blown cafe in here. It's adorable. All right, I got my iced vanilla latte. Cal got an iced Americano. We're gonna drink these, charge up, and then time to shop. Here is the floor guide, you guys.

We've got so much going on here. We're on the first floor, the cafe. Then they have the men's edit on the second floor. They've got kpop. They've got a food market. They've got so much going on. They did this with the Muse and these really cute Sanrio cushions, adorable. They have a whole section for Hapa Kristen and Wonyoung's everywhere for colored contacts and I will say, you guys know I love my colored contacts. All of these are brown variations and just like the slightest bit different.

So it's nice to see it in person. Absolutely shrieked when I saw this. They've got a Glinda and Elphaba section.

We came back to the Hyundai Mall because it's right where we're gonna go tonight but they're open for one more hour so we're getting some sweet treats. I'm gonna shop around until they're closed and then head to our nighttime activity.

Coming on to end the vlog. Last night was so amazing. I highly recommend doing that if you guys come to Korea. I've been wanting to do it for so long. I'm so glad that I finally did it. Callie and I ended up sitting there for quite some time, like at least a couple hours or so, just hanging out. And we had the ramyun, and then we had our hot cocoa.

We ate our mochi that we got from the mall. I also came back and I chopped my nails off because this one was broken. That's why I was wearing a bandaid for the past couple days. I was trying to

do my own nails. So that might be a venture that we take on very soon. But I chopped them off. This is how they're looking. And with that, I'm going to end the vlog here. I hope you guys enjoyed it.
