This is the future, this is the future.All right, Shrufi.taking you around the world.Now, let's bring it home.Reactions are trailing new videos trending on social media from NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi's speech at the NDC aspirants' dinner on Monday night in Abuja, addressing the crowd.Peter Obi declared that the NDC was determined to build a political institution founded on service, fairness, inclusion, and internal democracy, rather than personal interests and transactional politics.

But it is his bold warning on electoral integrity that is setting social media on fire, with Peter Obi imploring the public not to be afraid of any party rigging elections, stating that if votes aren't properly accounted for, they will personally step in to count the votes themselves.Let's take a look.

I'll take a reaction from Nunso who wrote, that's the spirit Nigerians want to hear.

Now, the OK Movement has momentum, but clearly not everyone is OK with it.Juan Garzón was one of the last northern governors to implement Sharia, as he feared it would disrupt social cohesion.All right.So that's just some fact check on that.But my kind of has his right to be able to make his decision or political slant or anything.The main slant for me will be that about what will be said.

And I think, Oji, we must get to a time where we say enough is enough as regards people that think they can ring elections.And we must not give ears to the shambolic way politicians do things.Look at the party primaries for instance.Counting disaster in the ADC.and the APC.If both political parties think they can fix this country and they can't do common internal democracy, and even with other political parties, then in fact, somebody I just saw someone was coming in.

He said he's from Abga.He said he was robbed.He was coming to see us.We've been getting messages from all political parties.that they've been robbed one way or the other.Somebody was talking about PRP.

I think Donald Duke has emerged candidate in PRP.And that is his running mate.One of the co -running mates who also said they were hard done.You get to almost every political party have not been able to fix the cases of internal democracy.And it's a big problem.For them to not think they have the temerity to rig, please, they should stop the rubbish they did in 2023.

We remember what happened to Jennifer.We remember how some people carry Oro.Please, they shouldn't do it this time.Let the votes of the people count.And we beg them in the name of God.And that's just what Obi is saying here.

Oji, yesterday, I had a chilling conversation with a young man that told me that he used to be a political talker as a 2010.How they paid them 50 ,000, how they bought guns for them, how they went to do champs for them to be able to disrupt elections in polling units where the opposition is winning.We cannot go back to that same country.If you truly think that you love this country so much and you want to serve the people and it's not your interest, if the people choose you, you would accept.But you must not fraudulently put yourself in place.And that's what we keep saying.

So I'm pleased we'll have to beg INEC.We are sick and tired.We must not hear the technical glitch that we brought forward last year and not be able to tell us what transpired.Right.The same technical glitch that only affected the presidential election.We are sick and tired of all of this shenanigans.

We are sick and tired of all of this manipulation.Nigerians just want to breathe.OG, we are celebrating Children's Day today, but children are in captivity.We have seen the cost and the reason for bad leadership consistently, not only in this administration, but in subsequent administration.We have seen the fact that military is not properly funded, but people's presidential fleet is funded.OG, we cannot go through all of this turmoil again.

We have seen teachers beheaded.We need leadership that works.

All right.Just a small caveat.

Now, while we all want free, fair, credible elections, there's even a group called Movement for Credible Elections, MCE, led by Professor Patrick Tomei.Professor Patrick Tomei was the first person, I think on this table, to say that in the 2027 elections that the MCE or the opposition will have what they call their own alternative IRF portal strategy.and that they too will count the votes and also announce the votes.It's more or less what Mr. Peter Obi is also saying, that look, we will count the votes ourselves and announce the votes.The caveat is that it is only INEC, the Independent National Electoral Commission, that has powers under the law to announce election results to set up Harry Potter.Even the media cannot go ahead and be announcing final results on behalf of INX.

So it's a matter of law.And that could create confusion if the opposition parties decide to announce their own numbers and you have a numbers confusion.And these political parties, we have seen, do not even have people who have basic education in simple arithmetic.

Arithmetic is very important.We have seen plenty of people not counting.And that's for the other man that you mentioned.The Arnold, Mike Arnold.

I know he has written a book on Nigeria, Epicenter.He has made statements about, you know, Christian youth.in a year.Does he have a PVC, a permanent voter's card?Where is his word?in Nigeria, which party does it belong to?

But in any case, we are part of a global community.So anybody can comment.And in his own case, being an American, he will call First Amendment and say he can talk globally and anyhow.After all, President Trump is also meddling in other people's affairs.

He doesn't have a PVC.But at the end of the day, every Nigerian vote must count.Let's now take some reactions to the growing chaos in the ADC after former transport minister Rotimiya Mechi publicly rejected the party's presidential primary results alleging mass voter disenfranchisement and electoral malpractice in a post on X that has since racked up over 1 million views.And you know, Vimbai, I'll take some comments and I'd like for you to chime in here.This is from Hamlet.So he wrote, This must be condemned in the strongest terms.

How can ADC stoop so low just to protect the ambition of one man?We must resist this injustice.And we're calling on all comrades to stand behind Amechi.Justice for Amechi, another ex -user wrote.The only time people start caring about Nigeria is during this period, when they are being robbed by their own colleagues.They demand credible outcomes from a flawed system.

but only during elections.You can't rig a broken system and expect a credible result.Finally, Lecon wrote, Mr. Rotimi, with due respect, you do not have the political clout to defeat Attiku in an election like this, even if the ADC gives you the presidential ticket.I doubt you'll have the political stamina and nationwide recognition that Atiku possesses to defeat Tinubu in the general election.It is impossible for everyone to become president at the same time.Therefore, all of you must unite and support whoever emerges as the party's candidate if the goal is truly to remove the APC government from power.

And of course, that is his thoughts right there.And also, we're echoing, you know, some of the thoughts of Nigerians.I mean, but everyone knew, I mean, just a layman, everyone knew that this is Atiku's party at this point, ADC, really, and the comments there about uniting and not having the ADC go into chaos.I mean, we only have a few credible opposition now, if there are your thoughts.

You know, when I read what's happening with the ADC, my mind first goes back to the Ibadan Declaration, when we had this huge moment where all the opposition leaders came together and said, oh, we'll field one candidate and we'll work together and so forth.And now you see how much this has fallen apart in just such a short period of time.What's happening with the ADC primary, although they are still collating, I believe collating will resume this evening at 8 p .m.But as of the time they closed yesterday, Atiku Abubakar was in the lead with over 1 .3 million votes.And Rotimi Amechi was trailing in second place with just about 248 ,000 votes.

He had won Akwa Ibom in Ebonyi State, according to this results collation, that he is saying is flawed.Of course, Hayatu Dean is also saying that the process is flawed.Now, Bolaji Abdullahi, who's the National Publicity Secretary, had said that this type of exercise of direct primaries, nationwide direct primaries, was almost like an eye, needed an eye neck level of logistics to execute, which we know they simply do not have.So I think the process was bound to be flawed from inception, and they really should have tried their best to work out a consensus arrangement.Well, this is where they are now.And it has been said from time immemorial that the one man that is guaranteed to win any primary election is Atiku Abubakar.

Different personalities have said the man knows how to win primaries, whether it's indirect, whether it's direct.That's his forte.And then he'd done an interview here on Arise with Charles Aniogolu on primetime saying that this is his last attempt at the presidency and we'd said to ourselves after that interview that he's going to make sure he gets that ticket.And remember the way, almost derogatory way, he had spoken about some of his colleagues within the ADC.That's before Kwankwa So left the ADC.His body language was always that of a man who no matter what was going to ensure he gets the ticket.

Now, many people might underestimate Rotimi Amiri.But his claim to fame beyond being a governor, a former speaker, a former minister, is also that he really did play a central role in the election.Both election cames for campaigns, excuse me, for Buhari as the DG of the campaign.Not only that, but in the primary election in the APC, where President Tinubu emerged as the front runner and eventually became president, Rotimi Emeci came second.So when it comes to the logistics of the election, primary elections.People say that, well, give him his credit.

All right, we don't have that video.But you know, he was inspecting some road projects and he dropped this bombshell.With Fubara now out of the race, House of Representatives member Kingsley Chinda has emerged as the APC candidate for River State.The message from Abuja Iskler in River State.Politics is the power brokers, not the ballot box, who decide who governs.And Nigerians are watching and asking.

Is this democracy?I mean, that was such a bombshell, because obviously, why did he even go and get a ticket if he actually brokered a deal, Dr. Abate?No, it's not a bombshell.You knew that, was it?

It is foreseeable.It has always been.Yeah, it is foreseeable.When the crisis in River State started, Yesum Wike, who I've said is an amphibious politician, one leg in the APC,one leg in PDP.He influences politics in APC.

He determines what happens in the PDP.He had made it clear that whoever he does not anoint cannot become governor of River State.And he made it clear that Fubara having the temerity to challenge him.He as the godfather of a river state politics, you know, sitting in Abuja and controlling what happens from Obi Akbar to the last local government in River State, that anybody that does not listen to him will pay for it.And that's exactly what has happened in the case of Fubara.Fubara had the support of the people, all those people pushing him at that time, telling him, challenge the godfather.

Where are they today?All those walking stick.Please name them.I know you have some names.I don't want to embarrass.

But he actually went for the primaries.

He didn't pass the clearance.

Why did he go?That's the question.They didn't clear him.If there was a deal that was brokered for him to step down.Should there even be a situation?Should we even listen to what he did?

Let's take a look.

Gumi's denial of terrorism links is what is raising eyebrows right now.Gumi has long called for amnesty for bandits and their families, consistently arguing thatdialogue, not force, can defeat terrorism.The question Nigerians are asking, where does advocacy end and association begin?Shall I take a reaction before I come to you?This is from Bashar, who wrote, I have an unpopular opinion that Goumi definitely has no ties to bandits or banditry.

Neither does he sympathize with them.If you listen carefully to his actual words, it concludes with emphasis on protecting lives.This is a former soldier turned cleric.What is he to gain?through insecurity.His tone may be off at times, but that's a different conversation.

As regards Sheikh Goumi, isn't it interesting he's saying this?I remember not on this table particularly, maybe in our former studio, I've had an exchange with him and I remember that they had to remind Sheikh Goumi when he was saying all those things he was saying in support of terrorists, that he should remember he's a former captain in the military.And apart from that, he's a medical doctor.He's a physician.He treated, yes, if my memory serves me right, battle -injured soldiers.And I'm sure he will have seen our troops being killed.

And what did he see in their eyes when they died?What did he see in the eyes of people like General Oba when he was killed, when this country let him down?And when you advocate for people like that, what happens to his esprit de corps?So him saying that he's got no links,it's quite shocking today because he has spoken even more than people that have links or whatever.He has advocated more.

He has pretty much, in effect, told us that, oh, there's a justification because they've been impoverished.We're not all being impoverished in this nation.Do everybody carry guns?Do everybody carry guns to kill and slay and maim other lives?So him trying to say this today, he should tell that to the birds.He should change his rhetorics.

And all of the peace deals he's trying to make, all of them are fault of not.I did not see people that made a deal around Kassina.What happened afterwards?Did the Nazi go back to killing people?So please, Sheikh Gubay should tell that to the birds.We don't...

Let's stop deceiving ourselves.For Fubara, I said something the earlier time we had this conversation that Wiki knows why he picked Fubara.And I will read something to you.This was Premium Times, 26 May 2022.Around the same time, four years ago, he said, despite being declared wanted by EFCC, former Attorney General Fubara wins PDP governorship primaries.And he talks about days after being declared wanted by EFCC.

Simele Fubara clinched the PDP, what's it called, primaries.And the story also talks about how it was being wanted by EFCC.So the case is clear.They were talking about 435 billion fraud.I don't know if they've settled this matter, but him being governor definitely shielded this matter from going ahead.I don't know.

EFCC can correct me on that.I don't have all the information.Secondly, When all of the manipulation started, what I was saying is not a bombshell is that he will have definitely agreed to some terms and conditions.And those terms are conditions definitely he didn't tell us because it was not just going to be for free for him not to have impeached the second time.But you see where Fubara fails to realize is that these people, despite the fact that they've humiliated you with a state of emergency, that you were off power for months, they still hold you by the jugular if a case like this EFCC one has not been settled.So in the end, you are not governor again.

You have been seen as somebody that cannot stand up for yourself.I don't want to call you the C ward.And this was the same you that took a lot of the stakeholders, Dr, that you were talking about.And you were shouting, Fubara, they tell you something.If you don't follow Tinubu, don't follow Kana Kana.Fubara, they tell you something.

You were the one that was walking on the streets of Rivers.Only God knows what happens to the Rivers State House of Assembly.And after all of this, see the shenanigans you're pushing around.

I mean, now, you know, the internet is calling it the Red Sea moment gone wrong.The pastor remains unidentified, but social media is convinced this African Moses moment happened right here in Lagos, Nigeria.The Red Sea, Patek for Moses, but you know, what are we saying now?The Lagos Lagoon, no the Red Sea, oh, what is happening here?Dr. Abati, your thoughts?

Well, you know, was it just two days ago?Yes.That I was saying, you know, many of these pastors, you know, they misinterpret the Bible and Many of them are just either skit makers, content creators, or motivational speakers.And this is yet another example.Of course, this man went to the ocean carrying a stick.I thought Moses used a rod.

And the context was biblical.It was spiritual.But he thinks he can recreate it.Why was he running away from the sojourn tide?He should have waited.

He showed a lack of faith.

Yes.He should have spoken truth to power.He didn't have a baby suit.He didn't have a life jacket.The man ran away.Even the people behind him.

All these people who go to Ochoa to just clap.They too were shocked.And that's why we always say, look.Don't go to church to worship the pastor.Let your relationship be between you and your God.And you use your common sense.

Not pastor that is doing this.with anointed mommy, anointed children, anointed family.Buyer beware, that is the caveat emptor.And you can read the Bible yourself too, and try to make sense out of it.But he is lucky, which is small band of miracle seekers that the ocean didn't sweep them away.Otherwise, we would have been commenting on the mercurial nature of nature and the conflict between man and nature.

All right.You should have waited.Sorry.You're not our pastor.You're a pastor.No, I'm not.

I'm certainly not a pastor, but I mean, I'm somebody who loves the Bible.I love Christ and I love his faith.I love his, yes, I love his demonstration of faith.And next time, I want him to see it through to the Yes, stand with your faith.Do not be tested by the waters.
