She's at Ashley's. Chloe loves being an only child. Like she doesn't like playing specifically with Rosie too. Like they never play. Her nugget and Rosie play so I'm like But like obviously Rosie's my number one, you know what I mean? Like she's my number one So to me I was always like I want to get another dog, but Rosie has to be okay with it Like Rosie has to thrive. I want her. Okay

I don't want her feeling jealous or protective that's why her and Chloe don't get along because to Chloe, she's like, bitch, this was my house first. But then it always changed the second Chloe and Ashley moved out and it was just me and Rosie here, the dynamic changed and Rosie was like,

no, now this is my house because you left. But I feel like Chloe's been like, I've been here from the beginning, what? So they've always kind of like they've tolerated each other I would never say that they like love each other, but they've definitely like tolerate each other But I can definitely see these two like actually liking each other and loving each other So all that to say I'm trying not to get too excited I'm trying not to get my hopes up

But if anything, I think my hopes are up because now I've seen it work like I've seen another dog Work with Rosie where they play, they get along. I can totally see how this would make Rosie live longer. I keep giving her so much love because I'm like, no, you're my mama. Like you are my number one. Don't worry.

I'm like only would really want this for you. Like if it made more stress or if it like if they fought like crazy, I wouldn't want that. This is actually kind of a nice little test to be able to dog sit and see how it goes, especially for like a week. And I'm just, I'm just terrified I'm gonna say goodbye and then be heartbroken. There is something that I wanted to talk to you guys about before she comes here, and I'm really excited because things are officially in motion. I've briefly mentioned this on Pretty Basic, but I am going to be remodeling my kitchen in the new year, like top of January, which is only in a couple of weeks.

And I'm so excited. I actually had a meeting the other day with my interior designer who's helping me, because you guys know I'm so indecisive, even about hanging art and picking paint samples. Never forget when I made this living room

Pepto Bismol pink, and I thought it was gonna be like a soft muted pink You know, I'm a creative person I like art I like painting but when it comes to home things I am so indecisive

Everything feels so permanent. I just like I kind of suck at it. So, you know, it's okay. We all have strengths We all have weaknesses

So I'm working with the same interior designer who actually helped me with my bedroom and obviously I loved how that turned out helping me with the kitchen and I actually had a meeting with her a few Days ago, I've logged a little bit of it so you can see like a little bit of behind the scenes and it was cute My mom was here. I think you like see her in the background trying to flip an egg. It's really cute

9th to the 6th. I'm so excited. I'm just so over how white this house is, specifically just like on the inside, which is so funny, because when I first got this house, like obviously millennial white and everything was like the move, but as I've gotten older,

I'm just wanting this place to feel more cozy. Yeah, I just want something. I want paint, I want color, I want warmth, and I figured all my friends are either getting married, having kids, moving, doing all these very exciting new life things. I figured, you know what, I wanna change.

And not only that, like let's do something, why not? And I know I just had the leak where I literally hated how this whole kitchen was just under renovation because of the water leak. And obviously that was not something by choice But I do like this will be a little better because it is my choice to be doing this and it's something I've wanted for

A while, but I figured you know what? Let's just do it in the new year. I'm just wanting a change It's only gonna help the home value and yeah, why not? I had so much fun looking on Pinterest for inspo. I can put some here I have renderings for what everything's gonna look like but i don't think i'm gonna show you guys that yet because i still want it to be i want it to be final final final final before i show you because if i show people and they don't like it then that's when i'm gonna be like oh well too late you know what i mean like i'd rather be like

married, like I could see us moving for that reason or just wanting less or more space depending on, you know, I don't know. There's so many unknowns when you don't know who your forever person is gonna be and like there's so many unknowns So yeah, that's why I was like, you know what? Let's do a little Reno and it what started as a let's just change the backsplash turned into a full Makeover and it's gonna take like five to six weeks of renovations. So I'm excited. I'm a little nervous I've never gone under a full like Reno before so please send any advice Also the fact that it's like the kitchen, I'm like okay do I like how do I not order out? Do I get like a meal service? Do I make a little, do I get a mini fridge

and put it upstairs? I have no idea, like I truly have no idea. So any advice is welcome. I know some people recommend taking vacations during that time, no idea, but, let me know if you've done it. I know it's gonna be hell, but I know I'm gonna be so excited once it's done. So this week we are going to pick out the countertops of what that's gonna look like. So I'll obviously take you guys along for that, but I am really excited because there's just so much

that's gonna be happening. I feel like it's a good way to start out the new year, not construction. And yeah, I also love the like mid-century-esque modern vibe, but more emphasis on the modern. I don't know, like I love the living room, I love the Playboy wall, I love like the cheetah rug, but I definitely wanna do something.

Oh, when I was looking on Pinterest, I was like, okay, there's things I'm gravitating towards, but now that I've like, I've been here and I've been through so many different eras and styles. Again, the living room was pink at one point, you know So I I'm trying to think of what something I can do when it comes to like bigger remodels that are not just quick things Like paint you can change back. I was like, I really want to make sure in another 10 years. I still like the kitchen So I want something that's timeless

But still adds a lot more warmth that feels more like homey and cozy and isn't just like it's just so blah. It's beautiful. Please do not get me wrong. I love it. Yeah, I just feel like it's very, can feel more homey. Another thing is you guys know how much I despise this black wall. I loved it.

Even that, it feels like I just did that.
