We at Xbox are happy to release the ROG Xbox Ally X. We've even provided you one to review. Yeah, thanks. I've been playing it for the last week or so, but I'm gonna give my honest thoughts for gamers who are looking to buy one.
Up first, this is the most powerful handheld PC on the market, and it plays games very well on Xbox and Steam. But there is a catch. The device costs $1,000. However, you are able to play most recent AAA modern
games at 1080p and 60 frames per second at medium graphics settings, but you must have access to a power outlet in order to hit this performance. Without the device plugged in, you will only hit 30-40 frames per second on modern games, which isn't acceptable in my opinion for a device that costs $1000. It will play lower resolution or less demanding games just fine though. Overall, I can't recommend dropping a grand on this device unless you travel a lot.
