Spend the day with me as a bridal makeup artist on a Saturday

I'm going to show you what it's like to be a bridal makeup artist on a Saturday.I started my day by driving about an hour outside the city, and I sat and tried to eat some breakfast, and I just can't stomach it.I'm just not someone that can eat in the morning.

But when you're working all day, I don't want to get too hungry, so the struggle is real.

As a makeup artist, I'm always packing and unpacking and dragging my stuff to all kinds of different locations.Every time someone sits in my chair, no matter what they're doing, I always have a little mini interview and ask them exactly the look that they're going for, and then we go from there.Over the last 20 years of being a makeup artist, I feel like I've gotten really good at this.Asking the right questions will really make a huge difference.That means that less people aren't gonna like their makeup.For example, this client sat down and she doesn't normally wear a ton of makeup, so I knew I had to keep it really natural and glowy, and she just ate up the makeup.

There's just some people that look so good in makeup, like their skin just eats it.Up next was the aunt of the bride who has never had her makeup done and she never wears makeup.So this can be a little bit tricky.So listen, when I passed her the mirror, I was a little bit scared because again, she never wears makeup and she literally just sat there.staring into the mirror.She was honestly in shock at how good she looked.

So I was like, yes, because sometimes they look in the mirror and they're staring at themselves and they actually hate it.

You're like, oh, I might have actually converted this one to be a makeup girly because she was obsessed with herself, like obsessed.Now, my next client sat down and she was like, I'm stuck in 2016.Please help me. I need to be brought into 2026.I was like, girl, this is my specialty.And she really, really liked how her look came out.I don't know if any other makeup artists do this, but I was creeping on this girl because her makeup looked so damn good.

I was just staring at her from across the room.At this point, I was about negative 10 ,000 calories, and thankfully, my bride offered me some food.Up next was my bride.She also never really wears makeup.She's a nurse, so she doesn't wear makeup every single day.So she actually used the girl that I was creeping on as inspo.

I really thought she just looked like the best version of herself.At this point, it's almost two o 'clock, and again, I am famished.I don't think you realize I could literally eat50 ,000 calories.So I went and got a foot -long sub, and then I still was hungry, so I went and got a Blizzard.Okay, don't judge me, all right?
