The bail story set to send Victorians 'crazy' | 3AW Melbourne

What a joke.The whole thing is sickening.It is absolutely sickening.The latest bail outrage that I think will send every Victorian, every business owner, but especially those caught up in the underworld alcohol fire bombings, crazy.You'll remember one of the earliest and indeed one of the most costly and dangerous attacks was at the 80 Proof factory in Keysborough.Now this was an alcohol factory so it was all stored there.

The innocent owners who owned 80 Proof lost everything.The blaze caused up to three million dollars damage to the building And all of the alcohol that was stored inside was completely destroyed.So that business is effectively over.And on top of that, 10 people lost their jobs.And these business owners, amongst many in this state, are living in fear.And police, through Operation Eclipse, arrested four youth offenders over that firebombing.

And this morning, two of them went before the court.They pled guilty.A 15 -year -old was convicted but put on a 12 -month youth supervision order and is back on the street this afternoon.The second one, a 16 -year -old, also pled guilty, no conviction, and received a 15 -month youth supervision order.And the other two alleged offenders are coming up before the court tomorrow.And no doubt, they will also be back out on the street all over again.

And you know what is really criminal?This government saying that we have the toughest bail laws in the country.When I tell you repeatedly on this program that this government is a disgrace, this is why.
