“They Hate Carney” | Wall Street Bets HUGE On Canada Tanking
Everyone sees Mark Carney failing. You can see it.I can see it.The businesses can see it.Manufacturers can see it.Even those moderates who voted for Mark Carney are starting to see it.
The data is even spelling out the fact that there's a huge drop in people believing Mark Carney can get a deal with Donald Trump. Now to add to that, Wall Street, hedge funds are now making the most bets that they've made in over two years.against Canada's economy, which Mark Carney is overseeing, saying he could be the guy to handle it.And because of this, there's a lot of distractions being thrown out there. And it's all designed to throw you off of the core issues that are facing us as Canadians. And today, we're going to be getting into all of that.
Welcome to the Elevate Report.I'm your host, Josh.Let's get into our first story, shall we?So this article has been making waves, circulating, Canadian conservatives have a patriotism problem by Andrew Coyne. This was all designed to get a reaction. This was all designed to create noise.
It was all designed to distract away from Mark Carney's horrendous record of what's currently going on.Let's remind you yet again, the fact that he lied to you about the Gordie Howe bridge. He's overseen more tariffs being thrown on our economy because of his lack of action. And this was thrown out as a distraction and to get you to bite. And quite frankly, conservatives did indeed bite. We've been seeing people within the party, around the party, and those who associate themselves as conservatives reacting to this article.
And when I saw it, it was clear as day what it was to me.It was bait and it was something that I chose to ignore.Because the issue at hand is the fact that we have a prime minister who is overseeingthe destruction of our country and is doing nothing about it.That's the reality that we are currently facing. So when we see bait thrown out like this, we are choosing to live and operate within the world and framework the liberals are creating for us.
And it couldn't be further from the truth.Because this whole article is based around the liberal framing of what it means to be a patriot. The liberal framing of what it means to be Canadian. The liberal framing of what it means to love one's country. And well, if I'm being quite frank with you, I've been at the forefront of this battle recently.Because I've been even seeing establishment conservatives taking the exact same stance that Andrew Coyne took here, siding with Mark Carney and the liberals of what it means to be Canadian.
If you don't agree with them, then you hate your country, you're a traitor, and there's no place for you in this country. But funny enough, our stance is the only one that ends with us saving this country.Barbara Ball, candidate of record for Nepean, said this exact same thing. She sought for what it was and called it out, and I couldn't have agreed more. She said this. It's such a tired, old play.
Conservatives are, insert whatever you want to put here. It's the same tactic cops are trained for.And the driver says, you only stopped me because of whatever.Officer says, no sir, I stopped you because you ran the red light.Don't take the bait, don't defend, don't explain, redirect. So from now on, the response is conservatives are blank.
No, we want to know why Kiana sent no one to the tariff discussion in Washington. That's it, stick to the actual issue. And she spot on.All this is being created as a distraction from the actual issue at hand. And the fact that our prime minister is failing us before our very eyes and no one is holding him to account.Aside from a select few people, the establishment conservatives,
defending him.You all see the Liberal Party defending him, the media defending him.And the only ones really speaking up about it are conservative MPs themselves and the grassroots. That's interesting, isn't it?While Ottawa's worried about this article, the grassroots is worried about this stuff.I go back to my speech I made last week about us being in this This moment right now, moment in time where we can redefine what conservatism means for the movement.
And I'll speak to this right now, is conservatism in Canada has traditionally been reactionary, not pro -actionary.We aren't really eager to set the tone. We're not very eager to set the framing. We're not very eager to set the conversation. We are more interested in following with whatever the framing the liberal and the leftists set out for us.And it's partially why we're behind the ball on issues a lot of the time.
You think about the issues that the people won on.The carbon tax is an example.Speaking against the carbon tax was very unpopular at the time.Aaron O'Toole, the leader of the conservative party at the time, was saying that we should have a carbon tax because it was so scary to go against the machine of saying you shouldn't have a carbon tax.Polyev comes in, runs a campaign on removing the carbon tax, won the argument, became one of the most popular aspects of his campaign. So popular that when Mark Carney swooped in, he had to take the same stance.
If Mark Carney wanted to win an election, he had to take the stance of scrapping the carbon tax. That was an example of conservatives leading on an issue and winning. It can be done more.We saw another example of it yesterday. We covered this article, right?Jamil Javani asking if Mark Carney wants to lead a Democrat party in the United States.
He seems more interested in courting the favor of Democrats than he does about trying to win in a deal forpeople frustrated. It got the Liberal Party frustrated. So much so that Mark Gerritsen had to go out and do his forest walking video responding to this article.Watch this response.
What exactly is the role of the official opposition?Seriously, what's it supposed to do?In our parliamentary system, we actually have a name for it.It's the loyal opposition. The role of the opposition isn't to cheer for the government. It's to challenge it, to scrutinize it, to expose bad policy, and to offer a better alternative.
But somewhere along the way, things changed. The focus stopped being about policy, and it became about personality. For years, conservative politics revolved around attacking Justin Trudeau. Not just for his policies, but rather his character, his motives, his integrity, his loyalty. And now we're seeing the exact same thing happen with Mark Carney.Conservative MP Jamil Javani just had a piece in the National Post asking whether Mark Carney wants to leave the US Democratic Party as though he's actively and intentionally working against Canadian interests.
I'm gonna leave it there because they got the music playing in the background here. But this isn't a signal of a Liberal Party, a Liberal member being put on their back foot in a discussion.Jamil Javani was aggressive and he pushed this forward.Mark Carney, do you care about Canada? You seem to be more interested in American politics than you do Canadian politics.Forcing Merrick Garretson to come out and give a concession, okay?
Liberals, he actually had to admit what the role of the official opposition was and why it's important in Canada. He had to come out essentially describing how democracy should work in this country, one that they've been trying to cover up for a long time in that party. He had to concede.what the official opposition role is.He had to concede it here so that he could get to the larger point of, oh, it's all about his character assassination. It was a horrendous argument.

Get started freeIt looked really bad on him.And it was one of the first times I've seen the liberals on defense in quite some time. And it all stemmed from someone being bold enough to call out what we're all seeing, forcing liberals to respond to it.This is what needs to happen. We cannot be reactionary, we have to be pro -actionary because our economy depends on it.This was announced just four days ago.
But hedge funds turned most negative on Canadian dollars since 2024.Hedge funds have accumulated the most negative bets on the Canadian dollar in two years as the threat of American tariffs drags on the currency.Leveraged money managers held over 99 ,000 contracts tied to wagers on a weaker loonie in the week ending July 21st, according to Commodity Futures Trading Commission data released on Friday. That's the largest amount going back to August of 2024, the peak of Justin Trudeau failing. The negative positioning comes as Canada's currency heads for a worse weekly performance in five. The loonie has fallen 0 .5 % this week against its U .
S.counterpart, pressured lower by escalating trade tensions between the neighboring Nations, as I said, it's received the most negative bets since August of 2024, the peak of Trudeau's fall and negativity and bad press.Remember that with Justin Trudeau? That was long, August 2024, keep that in mind, all right? That was long before Trump ever announced tariffs were coming, because guess what?November of 2024 is when Trump won the election.
We're just getting back on track to where things were at, and people are being reminded that this is 100 % a liberal government who's torpedoing our economy. So this whole reactionary perspective thing...typically take, especially if we look back at this, reacting to stuff like this is not helpful. You have to be proactive. You have to bring the argument to the masses. You have to fight on good ideas.
Explain your arguments.Articulate properly. So as I said, the Jamil Javani article forced liberals onto their back foot when it came to defending their prime minister. As we saw with the data coming out of Bloomberg, our economy depends on us fighting and properly articulating our viewpoints in order to save our country. This is why I came out so hard in explaining what we're seeing with these tariffs from the United States on Canada. How it has more so to do with the fact that we have not done our job on China, have not done our job of kicking up the CCP, have not done our job of being national security partners with the United States.
Thus, why we're seeing tariffs thrown on our economy in order to get the attention of our weak leadership. And I know there's plenty of you who've been watching this show for a long time, but you know that the conversation around the relationship the United States really kicked up around July 4th when he had countering interviews happening where I took a more of a people would say a softball interview with the ambassador whereas people like Harrison Faulkner took more of an antagonistic approach and then him and I were able to have a debate on whose tactic worked better at the current time. But then that whole situation was used as a launching pad by Jason Kenney and other establishment conservatives to take that opportunity to begin putting out their ideas of maybe displacing Pierre Polieva's leader and showing that we need to have an anti -American approach. We need to be anti -Trump.We need to fight for Canada.Conservatives need to show Canadians that they're willing to fight for Canada.
So in order to fight for Canada, we have to fight America. And that's the argument that they've brought forward. And you know, it'sargument that I 100 % disagree with because you're never going to out anti -American the left. It's just never going to happen. And let's be honest, it's all fugazi.
It's fake because our economy depends on a strong United States relationship and trying to be tough and show them we don't need them is false and result in the ruin of our country if you continue on with that talking point. And quite frankly, In some of these circles, I was being called names like a traitor, can't be trusted, doesn't love Canada, doesn't love my country. It was funny, in these circles, I was hearing a lot of the same accusations I hear from the left about me.And then it got me questioning, where is that all coming from? What's the motive? The consultant class in Ottawa and Toronto seemed very intent on painting my viewpoint in a specific way.
And then also using it as a launching point to maybe take over leadership of the conservative party. And so if you've been seeing a lot of Jason Kenney recently, well, it's not by accident. It's people like him and others around him that are trying to see if there's an appetite for how they want to approach the United States. They even did a show on Juno News.talking about this very issue, about this Canada -U .S.
relationship, how they should go about it.And Juno News clipped up a little bit of that interview and released it on X. And we'll get a gauge on how the audience responded to it.This is the first one they put up.Keep it up, Dougie. When asked by Harrison Faulkner about Ford's response to the latest U .S.
tariff threats, former Alberta Premier Jason Kenney said Canada needs to keep reminding Washington that the U .S.depends on Canadian energy. And again, he had this approach in this interview, in this specific clip, that what Doug Ford's doing is good. What Doug Ford's doing in trying to antagonize the U .S.
is a good thing.Keep it up, Dougie, as he says here. But we look at the analytics. You have a total of, you know, well, a little over 60 different engagements, and that's including the likes, retweets, and comments on it combined. And you compare that to the 17 ,000 people who viewed it, that's a less than 1 % engagement rate.To give you a perspective, in the marketing world, a good engagement rate is somewhere between 5 to 7%.
They have a less than 1 % engagement rate on that post.We move to the next one.The only thing you're responsible for is running your mouth in your Twitter account, Jason Kenney says.Former Alberta Premier Jason Kenney tells Harrison Faulkner it's easy for federal conservatives to criticize conservative premiers when they're not the ones making the tough decisions in government.30 ,000 views.A little over a hundred engagements.
Again, well less than 1 % of engagement. We move to the third one they clipped out.It says, Jason Kenney argues conservatives were too little and too late in responding to Trump's attacks on Canada, warning the party not to let the Imaga North Trump enthusiasts distracted from winning back traditional conservative voters. This was another fun one. This one had, well, this one actually got ratioed, more comments than they got likes. And this one had over, you know, over 300 engagements on it for 55 ,000 views.
Again, well under 1 % engagement rate. What it's showing is they're getting a ton of views on these clips, but no one agrees with them.unless they get something like this, where they get ratioed, where they get more comments than they get likes on it.And a lot of it is dislike and disagreement with this idea. And we'll compare these to my speech, where I clipped up, I sent a clip of my speech and put it on X. Again, when I did the speech, I said my take was very unpopular because of the attacks I was receiving leading up to me doing this speech.I was like, man, I'm being told I hate my country.
I'm being told I'm a traitor.I'm being told that I'm not standing up for Canadians. But you know what?I believe what I believe and I believe so wholeheartedly.I'm going to put myself out there.I'm going to go into a room.
of people who I think disagree with me. I'm going to talk about this and preach it.And if you disagree, then so be it.But I'm standing on my laurels on this one because I truly, truly, truly believe that this is an issue of China and not about the United States. This is an issue of securing the Western Hemisphere.and not a battle with Trump. And I believe if we take care of those things, then we can have a good, solid economic and security partnership with the United States.
That's what I truly, truly believe. And again, the views I got on this clip were much smaller than what Junonews put out. However, I received over 575 engagements on just 10 ,000 views.About 5 .5 % engagement rate.More engagements than any of their videos got with a fraction of the views. And this was the first tell to me that maybe this viewpoint isn't the problem.

Get started freeMaybe people agree with this, maybe people are starting to see it.The anti -American sentiment is starting to wane and people are beginning to realize what is actually currently happening at the moment. And then I compared it to this, where the actual Juno News interview, full interview on YouTube got 17 ,000 views, 1 .1 thousand likes, and the comments, well, they weren't necessarily kind. Then I compared it to my video, 65 ,000 views with close to 6 ,000 likes. And then I compared it to Jasmine's video from yesterday where she's talking about, not the specifically, but getting into it.90 ,000 views, 10 ,000 likes.
What it's showing me is the grassroots are starting to see what is going on.They are rejecting the establishment narrative out of Toronto and Ottawa of what should be happening right now. They're rejecting the anti -American sentiment.Doubling down on hating Donald Trump isn't a strategy people are starting to see.And they believe that.it.
And they believe it in numbers. And the moderates are beginning to see it too, because the numbers are starting to pan out that way.We showed the Bloomberg article earlier. And why am I bringing all this up?
It's not so much to say, oh, screw Jason Kenney and all these, it's not really about that.
It's about showing that setting the narrative and not being afraid to stand on what you believe is critical to saving our country.country.I could have cowered in fear in all the accusations being flung at me. I could have, but refused to.Then I got out and started using my voice and started seeing that, wait a second, other people believe this and they're seeing it too.And then that forced the likes of Jason Kenney and his folks to get out there and start talking about and putting up their talking points and starting to realize that their talking points were actually very unpopular with the grassroots. And now people are starting to see, maybe just maybe, that having a strong diplomatic and security relationship with the United States and pushing out the CCP from our midst is a fast pass to getting our country back, restoring sovereignty, and restoring order in our nation.
We cannot be reactionary. We must set the framing. We must set the rules and do not cower in the face of criticism because the future of our nation depends on it.But anyways, I'll leave it there.
Have yourselves a good one.I'm out.
