Joining us now is One Nation leader Pauline Hanson.Pauline, great to see you. Thanks for coming on the show on this Sunday morning. Now, fantastic result there for you in the financial...Now, it's just one poll. It's the Redbridge poll in the Financial Review, saying 59 seats to One Nation in the lower house if an election were held today.

0:21

How did you react, Pauline?

0:26

Look, Rowan, it's very encouraging, but it is only a poll. The real poll is on Election Day.But it does tell me we've still got a lot of work to do.When I'm out in public and talking to people, that many people are coming up to me, and they're the people on the ground. And they're encouraging. They say, we need you, you're our last hope, we've got to turn this country around.

0:49

You know, they're destitute, they really are.The cost of living is impacting on them, businesses, especially with this budget that's been handed down by the Labor Party. The agricultural sector, the mining sector, everyone has been impacted by this hopeless Labor -Albanese government. And, you know, I've been true to my convictions, my values, what I want to change in Australia. And I've just kept pushing forward, putting out policies there, informing people where I would like to take this country. And if the poll is any real indication, and I think it's shown that with winning the Farrow by -election with 40 % of the primary vote and of course in South Australia winning seven seats there, it is an indication people want change.

1:38

And I'm going to keep pushing forward and I'm going to keep putting forward my policies, Ron, because We cannot give this Labor government, supported by the Greens, another term in parliament. This country would be absolutely destroyed and I doubt we'll ever be able to pull it back from the destruction they're imposing on us.

1:56

Rita. Now, you want to have more oil and gas production. You want to cut some of the green, red, black tape that exists in that sector. But explain the theory behind the taxpayers having essentially an equity stake in these new explorations.

2:18

Rita, I based it on what happened in Norway. Now, that's been going for decades and Norway has nearly a $3 trillion fund for the people over there. So they got into exploration and it was government equity in it.What I'm proposing to those companies who want to explore in Australia is that they will have ownership of 70 % and we may take a 30 % no more than 30 % equity share in right from the beginning exploration to production to decommissioning. So we don't have to say yes or no but and the companies don't have to have us on board with them either. This is not coercion, it's not a takeover, it's not socialist policy.

3:05

It's trying to get an equity share in our own resources that the people of Australia will benefit from it.We want to cut red, green, black and blue tape, blue is United Nations, that If from point of when they put in, it will be actually decided within six months. We get rid of the safeguard mechanisms, all the environmental issues. All this will be based on individual, where they want to set it up.So we're not disregarding the environment, but it'll be done on an individual needs basis. So the monies from that will go into a separate wealth fund.

3:43

That wealth fund will only be used to pay down debt.for critical infrastructure or for the defence. It will not go into consolidated revenue to be just wasted ongovernments. If we don't get our debt down, we are not going to have the services, and at the moment we're paying $50 billion a year in interest. It's unserviceable and we'll end up a third world country.

4:08

James.Well, Pauline, to talk about that, I guess you'd call it a sovereign wealth fund and the benefits that would accrue from that to pay down debt.Would you also be, especially coming off of the budget, this horror show of a budget that this government has dropped on us?open to talking about also, you know, what are your positions on the capital gains tax?One Nation, you were famously a small business person before you went into politics.Where does One Nation stand on the capital gains tax?

4:37

And also, does One Nation think that our income taxes are too high? And do you agree with the Liberal Party and Angus Taylor on the issue of indexing income tax rates, which haven't been adjusted for around 20 years?

4:56

Absolutely correct. We would reverse this budget decision and of course they've got to put it up in legislation.I think the government has had a hell of a backlash from the public and small businesses with regard to this.I think, personally think, they'll actually wipe it before it goes to legislation. But if not, One Nation will definitely reverse that, the capital gains. You've actually got to reward people for their hard work.

5:20

A lot of these businesses like myself, I borrowed everything to go into my business.I worked 80 to 90 hours a week basically by myself apart from four hours a week to build up my business.I could have gone on welfare or pension, I didn't.I wanted to support my family. All my hard work and now the government, and I've paid my taxes along the way, now the government wants to put their hand in my pocket and take half my profits when they've done nothing, absolutely nothing, or more than half. No, I totally disagree with that.

5:48

We must reward those whoto put the work and effort into it.Also with the indexation, we have advocated this on the floor of Parliament before Angus Taylor.A lot of things that I have said and done and acted on and we've put our private members bills up in the floor of Parliament, the Libs are just catching up with me now.You know, they react.I'm visionary.

6:11

That's what One Nation is about. We put up policies. We see what's going to happen in this country. And I try to state my case, which I always have done.Taxation.We are the most heavily taxed country in the world.

6:25

You pay your income tax, then what you get left, everything you buy, you're paying another 10 % on it.We have to turn around the whole taxation system. And that's what I will be looking at, to introduce a far better taxation system to encourage businesses, industries, manufacturing, investment in Australia. And we can do it.But you've got to cut back government spending. Two ways to get money.

6:50

Productivity or taxation. The government has been overspending.way out of control. So, you've got to rein in your spending, which I'd get rid of the Climate Change Department.I'd actually...The double duplication in health and education between state and federal.

7:09

You rein in the NDIS.The scammers.Go after scammers.Forget about taking good people off the system.Go after scammers, which they're not.And then I'd get rid of the Aboriginal industry.

All this is part of reining in...And that's what I'd be doing. That's some of the things that I would do.

7:26

And Pauline, just very quickly, hypothetically of course, looking at that poll, say you did have, say you and the coalition between you after the next election could form government, not on your own but with each other, what would be the price involved? What would you be saying, hypothetically?

7:48

is whoever gets the numbers, let's just work together. The main thing is that we have to turn this country around with good policies that are going to encourage further development, industries, manufacturing, look after the farming sector, agricultural production, the mining industry. Now, a lot of these...The problem with Angus Taylor, he's got a bunch of moderates, progressives, in his own party. He won't be able to do a lot of things that he's saying. The difference is, I will be able to.

8:16

I'm not going to tie myself to that dog that will not be able to follow through on his promises to the Australian people.I know that I will. But it's a matter of working forward to change this country in the direction it's headed in.I'm a very proud Australian.I believe in reward for hard work.I believe in the future generations and I want to get rid of this.

8:39

ideology that's been pushed onto us and I just want our future generations to have pride in themselves, their country, their flag and have a decent future and standard of living.
