Why do you summer?The first day of summer, so I usually start at 1am.

seems like waking up in my bed, but I thought I would let Benji get a little bit extra sleep because we've been going to bed the first two nights that we've been here at like two or three in the morning.And it's not because we want to, it's because we have teenagers people.We have got six teenagers, close to six teenagers.Um, obviously not quite yet, but let's just say without throwing anyone under the bus, people have been after curfew a couple of nights.And then there's also been some hard conversations until two in the morning, but like, yeah, so far not so good.this whole summer thing.

That's what I look like when I look like this.I've had no sleep.People like no sleep.

You need to get more sleep.

And I am 51 years old and that shows up quick on your face when you don't get sleep.So I am sitting here with you because I promised myself from the beginning that I would be real as far as like what life was like for me.Like obviously I'm not going to go past you know the boundariesI've set with my kids and what's real for them.But for me, my experiences as a mom of 16 kids, I didn't want to ever like, you know, just totally sugarcoat it where it's like, life is so good.And I've got everything under control.

I have nothing under control.Like, I feel like I might have things under control for five minutes at a time.And those are even soothing at that point.I am learning and growing every single day.And that is honesty people.Yeah.

I just want you to know, like, a lot of times our life might look super perfect on the outside like because we only film for a few hours a week right and so you get little glimpses into our life and a lot of times people in the world really want to show the best part of their life those little glimpses you get and i've done that a few times like you guys have seen the best parts but i also want you to see the real and the real is that you look like this when you wake up when you get no sleep and that sometimes teenagers like you love them to pieces that sometimes they're just naughty and they just you know they test you and they stay out later than you want.And sometimes, you know, life just isn't this perfect, beautiful picture.So yeah, that's dealing with the first day of summer is like the reality of life.Sometimes life is hard and what do I want to do this summer?And so normally I put all this pressure on myself to wake up at like 530.I don't put pressure on myself.

I really feel drawn to wake up early in the morning.It's when I can find my own space and really remember my purpose and connect with God.

Anyway, so this is my plan or I'm trying to consider check the plan.

You guys can help.So I'm going to have my own morning time and then we'll be back in a little bit to start waking up the kids.And then we're also going to revamp stuff to the summer with the kids, wake up the kids.We're going to sit down, have devotional, and then I'm going to get real with them.Say, okay guys, first two days have been rough and I'm already tired and it's the beginning of summer.So let's sit down some like rules for what we want this summer to look like.

Kind of like our work schedule because you know, YouTube is work.We work for three or four hours twice a week during the summer to put out two videos a week.So like what do you think?you want to work or what day do you want to just film two videos in one day?Kind of figure that out and figure that out for everybody.And then we have sports to figure out and tryouts to figure out and cheer practices to figure out all of that.

And then I want to figure out the fun, like which vacations do you want to go on?What trips, what, what bucket list items do we want to try to do this summer and like end it on the fun side.But we need to get real from the beginning because I can't keep doing this.We gotta establish some rules.I've always found my kids do best when they help establish the rules.So curfew might be changing.

It's hard.Curfew's always been like 11 for like a certain age, 1130 and then like midnight.But maybe I need to go to 1230.I don't know.Or maybe I don't.We'll figure it out.

All right, so here's where I'm gonna start mine up I'm gonna start mine at is 10 o 'clock on weeknights when dad and I have to wake up to work That's a good idea week 11 okay no that's that's that's good 1130 on the weekdays if you are here at our house it's 1030 your friends have to go home by 11 on the weekday if it's the weekend if you're not at our house you need to be home by 11th date then I look like you know because I'm just out of the house aloneNo, not at all.Well, here's the reason I'm deciding to do a curfew negotiation at all.It's because we've only had a few nights since we've been back from Maui, and every night, literally, me and dad have gone to bed after two o 'clock.Well, that's not my fault.No, it's not your fault.

But I'm saying, as a whole, do you love your mom and dad?Do you want us to be healthy?Do you want us to be a clear mind and do a good job as being a mom and dad?We need sleep.

OK, so after they come home, you don't have to worry about us.

That is not how it works.I wish.I wish, I could just be like, I'm not worried about my other kids out and about in the world.I'm just gonna go to sleep.I have to tell you also, really after midnight, things can get dangerous.Not because of you, not because of your decisions, but that's when there's drunk drivers on the road.

That's when just more people are out that are not making good decisions.I'm really careful when I drive.The point is, people can come out of nowhere and change your life.And after midnight, there are way more drunk drivers on the road, way more people doing things that they shouldn't be doing after midnight.So I just feel like midnight needs to be a good, and you're young, and I feel like 11 .30 on weekends to be home from your friends is quite fine.11 .30, okay, I'll negotiate.

11 .30 on weekends, 11 on weekdays, but you need to be in the house by 10 .30.All right, next age group.

Next age group is the 14 and 15 year olds.

I will keep all my friends curfews are like they have to leave at 11 20 really so She's really just at 11 30.

The younger kids are working their way up to the midnight, but for the ones that are older, they're 18, their friends can be over here and it can be 12, 30, or even one.If your friends are here and I know you're safe, then I can kind of like relax and go to bed.So if it's like a weekend and your friends are here till one, maybe, and maybe, then that's okay.But you need to be in the house by12. I also like the applicator.It has like this like pointy part with like a brush.You can like go through your lashes and then like point part so you can get the tip of your eyelashes.Anyways, we're gonna move on to our makeup.First, we're gonna put some new primer on.We need this primer to stay because the eyeshadows.

Um, I use the say one wait, is it no i'm not saying one size and I think it's super good.I got these Smash box like products sent in pr.I actually really love them.This one's like an oil control one And then this is a pore finishing one.Now.We're using the poor one.

I literally just put it up here Okay, you guys so now that our skin is prepped i am going to put up my like high definition Radiance face creamSkin Perfector.I almost said protector.Korean Skin Therapy.This is so good.I feel like it gives me, like, such a good, like, finish.

Like, I literally feel like I could go out with just this on.I just gotta rub it in.I gotta get it in my lips.

All right, guys, I just got out of the shower, and we're gonna see what I have still here for makeup -wise, because, as you can tell, this is just terrible.This is just terrible!We are going to do a little bit of tanning drops because your girl's real.She's real.Yeah, we putting a lot on.And then what we're going to do is we're going to add some of the moisturizer.

Because my face is so cute I actually love it.It's from 16 and it's like the comfiest thing ever and I actually brought some eyebrows.Um, so We're just gonna do them on camera, but I'm gonna go look for a mirror.I found a little mirror that I can use, so we're just gonna do the same thing.The only one that I have that's like a big...barrel.

So, and this is way cheap.So if anybody is needing a new curling iron, this one is like super good for cheap.Like I've used their brand for like forever.Like, I don't know if anybody remembers, but when I was in the room, like at the Landry's Inn, I literally had like this curling iron just smaller and I used it all the time, loved it.So you don't have to get an expensive curling iron to have a good blowout.Now we're gonna start with the curling iron.

So I'm just gonna take my front piece and And I'm gonna wrap it like that.And you want it to just kind of be on top of your head.So it creates that like volume right there.And don't worry, this isn't how it's gonna look because that's where you put the roller in or your pin.For the front pieces though, I really do love using rollers.It turns out so good.

yeah and then i take the next section i have extensions so mine will look different if you don't have a section because exceptions are just like they hold so much better so really also that but they also kind of create a little guide for me of like what like the sectioning because it already is a section of my hair so yeah All right guys now it is time for makeup.We are gonna put some floss filter on my face.I love floss because it's so glowy and I just love it.Okay, we're gonna take this um foundation brush and just pack that on.

Okay, we put some.We kind of blow -dried it a little bit.Okay, yeah.We definitely got some volume.I feel my natural curls coming out again.A little bit.

I use these when I'm in Utah.Cleans and penetrates pores to treat and help prevent acne.Okay, I'm gonna use this.Skincare now, okay.I went back to my old skincare routine.So I use these two now first Now we're gonna be using the Hydra hydration serum Okay, now it's time for the second step of my eyelashes.

I'm obsessed with my eyelashes, I can't.Okay, I gotta bring you guys into the bathroom now.I'm just gonna put my hair.

Anyways, you guys, we're gonna put this powder under our eyes, and then I kinda just pop the rest, like, wherever I'm glossy.We're gonna do some mascara.Okay, you guys, we're almost done with our eyelashes.My eyelashes will always be the week of me, like, sometimes I love doing them, and then it's like, I hate doing them.So now we're gonna do our lips and then we need to do blush and then we're basically done Now I have to do my spirit and this is the scariest part.

Anyways, let's go.I'm gonna do blue because I feel like it doing blue on my eyelashes.The oil is gonna do and then I'm gonna put black over it.It's like kind of cool, but I just did that for fun because why not?Okay, one eye's done.

Bronzer and my eyebrows, but because I really need book recommendations.Give me some.What I need my like, like not a lot of people know about, because I feel like I've read all the books that like, whenever I search on like TikToks that are like good books for like 14 year olds that are like romance, it always like shows the books that I've already read.And I want like a new book, not one that I've already read, obviously.And so I need to find books that like, like I wouldn't know, if that makes sense.Like I don't, can't know what they are because I, I can't have already read them, if that makes sense.
