This summer, we went to 50 states in 50 days. We stayed at the coolest AirBnbs, posted 50 videos on YouTube on his channel while we raised funds for the Children's Research Hospital ST Jude, and it was amazing. As many of you know, I usually stay at home while Rian travels to make his videos. But this time, I was on an adventure with him. But still, I managed to read some amazing books in some beautiful places.

0:20

So, enjoy what I read in 50 states in 50 days. The first time I took my camera during the series was on the 8th day. I wanted to enjoy the first week just to understand how it would be to drive states in 50 days. Currently, I'm in Oklahoma, in a house on a tree.

0:39

Oh, my God!

0:41

It's a movie in a projector outdoors. This is one of my favorite summer wishes since I had a cover of Vary McFarland's book. Oh my God! where we put 10 different book names in a pot and choose them. The last one we get is what we're reading. So, we're reading this book together and, so far, the writing was beautiful right away and the premise is very fun too. We are following Kenon, who is a Jun-neva, who is an actress who currently does plays, but Kenon may or may not want to scale her to the main role in her new film. And we have the points of view of both and why, as I said, I didn't have much time to read so far, I really like Kenon and Neva, I like their personalities and I feel that the configuration

1:30

was finally defined in the 30% mark, so now is the opportunity that I will have to see if I really like the story, I have no idea, I will read In a house on a tree tonight and update you in any state I'm in. Hyun is riding his electric bike, and then we're going to go into the hydromassage bathtub. So, I'm reading while I wait for him to do that. And I'm sitting in this chair and reading for real. I read again because I don't know.

1:57

Something about Vibe. Maybe I should just read to the end and keep reading. It's the 16th day of 50 to visit all 50 states in 50 days. I'm in ST, Augustine, Florida, right now, in this container house, very cool. The whole thing is made of containers. Look at this beautiful coffee machine. I made this coffee. This kitchen doesn't give you Carly's vibrations, like Spencer made this house for sure. I have some reading updates for you.

2:20

I also have an update on the cover of the book. I think I didn't show it on camera, but when I post this video it will probably be on the air. This is my third iteration of a cover for this time the inside also has a pattern. So, this is like a striped green and this pattern of stripes is also on the bag. And there are two other designs that were from an old collection, but I transformed them into this new book cover updated with the stripes on the inside. In relation to what I have read, I thought I would read Kennedy Hian's real DNA because it was getting very spicy, but then it would be night and I would have Dandle, and now I'm 62% read and I still like him a lot, but every time I read, I think, I'm going to drop it or not. So, we have a mixed relationship now, me and this book. You can see that she is a great author. It's definitely a more spicy romance, which is usually not my beach. But I really like Canon. I also like Neva. And I heard that

3:07

Kennedy Hian writes about very realistic and healthy romantic relationships. And so far, I agree, which is refreshing to see. Because sometimes, when you think they're going to fight, they end up communicating and you think, wow, this is really refreshing for a book. So, I think that, at this point, I'll finish the whole reading. But, meanwhile, Taylor Jenkins' new book was released and I really wanted to read it. So, we stopped at a local bookstore in Alabama. It was very cute. The book was called Paper & Palette and they had an autographed copy there, which was really cool. So, I bought Atmosphere, her new book. Here's her autograph.

3:37

And I have about 20 pages of this book. It's definitely very scientific now, which is not bad. I think it's really cool how much she had to research to write this. But I'm excited to get more attached to the characters and see where it goes, because I really have no idea. But I trust this author, she will take me on a good journey. Carrie Stowe is back. Her book about tennis still lives in my mind as one of the most unique characters I've ever read. And I just loved how rude she was, to the point of making me laugh out loud, because I think it's a risk for an author to make a character rude or bold, because people can call him unpleasant, which is true, but the reading was hilarious and On The Ripping together when we are in the car, and we probably already read 30% of it. So, I'm still reading some and I'm currently on a boat.

4:55

Crazy phrases every day. I officially decided Kennedy Hyun's real DNA, but I read more Taylor Jenkins' Hit At The Car today and it's getting really good. I'm starting to highlight a lot of quotes, which is a great sign. The way she creates characters with these very realistic nuances is impressive. We are following Joan, who will be NASA's astronomer.

5:14

And you can say that she made a lot of effort to try to make it accurate. So, there are a lot of technical things to read, but I feel good reading. Like, I'm learning something. It doesn't seem very complicated because the character's development is also happening at the same time.

5:28

Have you met Miss Mindy? She's a guy with red, shiny hair. Now she stands out from everyone you know anywhere she's a girl. Yes, she's a girl.

5:43

Good morning from West Virginia. I know you can't see me right, so this is a little sinister. But today is the day my book will be available for pre-sale. And I'm so excited and so nervous. I'll start tomorrow with a relaxing and pleasant reading. Just friends.

6:04

That's it, we are. We are just friends. That's it, Gui, we are. We are only friends. This book is so good. I only read chapter 1 and 2 of this book. It was all that Halley let me read so far. But, my God, so good. And over the last year, I feel like she told me little excerpts of what's going on in the book, and I'm like, wow, this is so good. It's a very happy day.

6:10

A very exciting day. I'm so proud of you. Quotes. We arrived at the AirBnB in Virginia. As you can see, it's a frame and it has a kind of floor bed on top, which is the coolest thing I think I've ever seen in my entire life. I feel like a 2015 travel blogger, in the best way. Like a moment of beliscarmi, for sure. But as I said, it's the 22nd day and I want to do a quick recap of what I've read so far because it's been a bit messy, to be honest. On the first day, we drove three hours to Dallas and I had already read 75% of the cover story of

6:52

Vary McFarland. This is an early copy that she sent me, which I am very grateful for, because she is definitely one of my three best authors. She writes literary fiction, Feminine fiction with subplots of romance. And these are always my favorite books of all time. I managed to finish this one on the first day, and it was 5 stars for sure, if not 6. I want to reread it because it has a fun and fast plot. From a journalist trying to overthrow the mayor. And she gets into very, very, very complicated situations to do this, including a fake relationship with the company's intern.

7:22

Every decision the characters make leaves you at the tip of the chair. And I was turning the pages so fast. And the romance is always very well written. It's usually very, very, very slow to the end. And it made me laugh out loud, like your books usually do. She's Scottish, so if there's any jargon you don't understand at first,

7:38

that's why. Reading her books is like reading internal jokes you need to get used to. But when you're inside, it's hilarious. I highly recommend it when it's released. So far, this is the only full book I've read. It's also the only physical book I took on the trip because I won't be able to go home with a bunch of books. So we move on to Kindle.

7:54

Then, I tried to read book by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Atmosphere. This is much more of a literary fiction book than I expected. And the reason I gave up this one is because it was very exciting. I cried reading in the car. And during the trip, the vibe I always wanted to get a book from was a fun escape romance.

8:19

And I was really crying, like, OK, I need to put this book aside for now. So, I read 54% of Atmosfera, putting that aside. I'll probably finish it after this trip. So, I can finally say that I'm reading Sounds Like Love, by Ashley Poston. This is her new book. I'm at 57% reading.

8:36

I'm kind of cooking, feeling really good. She's the same author who wrote Seven Yards Sleep, which is one of my favorite novels of all time. And then I read Dead Romantics, her, which the more I think about it, the more I like this book. I gave it 3.5 stars because it's kind of slow, but the novel really consumes this book. And then a love novel, which came out last year, I really didn't like it. So, I started hopeful, but a little apprehensive with this one. And it started a little difficult, ction, and he seems very convinced.

9:05

And then you're following Joanie, who is a composer, but she's exhausted and can't think of a new song to write, and has to go back to her little town in North Carolina because her mother is developing early dementia. I believe that's it. Which is very, very sad. So, I was a little worried at first because I thought, I want an escape book, nothing sad. And this one is a little sad, but I've already read 57% of it now.

9:31

And it's all right to read. A new angle to have fun. Her books always have some kind of magical realism element in them. And I forgot that. in this book, but there is one. Basically, she starts to hear the thoughts of a different person, and that other person can also hear her thoughts. Now, it's always a lot of fun because there is no real explanation of how magic works. It's just a fact of the world, but it's not boring that you don't know. It's just fun. It's like, yes, she could

9:57

hear someone's thoughts. Cool. In 7 years, the apartment would travel back in time or forward in time for 7 years. Is there any explanation for the apartment being magical? No. Okay. In The Dead Romantics, she can see ghosts and talk to them. Now, maybe if you've only read fantasy books, that would irritate you, because there's no reason for that to happen.

10:16

But I feel that, as a romance reader, it's just that element that's really fun and makes you turn the page faster. And I thought that this would be a very cool element because the way a romance flourishes, there is usually tension because you can't say what the other person is thinking, she can. So I was very excited to see how this would unfold and I'm still watching it unfold now, obviously. So, Hyan and I are listening to Sunrise on the Ripping by Susanne Collins. It's the new book of voracious games during our trips and we only have about three hours left. Everyone told me it's very sad, so I'm happy to have Hyun with me on the journey. So, we'll see our reaction to that. Hey, Mithy is currently in the games now, so I'm curious to see what happens.

10:52

Day 22. We'll see when another book will be completed because I read many books in half. I hope this is the second one I read completely. Good morning! It's the 24th of May. We are currently in Maryland. I'm in a celery, but a very modern celery, as you can see. Yesterday, I finally finished reading Salt Islike Love, by Ashley Poston, the second book I read in 24 days. But it wasn't bad, because the morning harvest is almost over.

11:34

I would say that at the beginning of the book, Sebastian, the love interest, I was disgusted because he was very convinced. And then, in the middle of the book, when the magic begins to happen, when they can hear each other's thoughts, that was my favorite part of it all, and the preparation for them to want to meet in person. That was the best part of the book. I almost thought that, when they meet in person, it would be like a movie about correspondence. Nora Ephron just got a correspondence.

11:56

Yes, I thought it would be like that movie Just Got Mail, in which they see each other and think that the other person is in the city, but they don't realize that they are the ones who are in each other's heads. Although this was very difficult to do because they are in each other's heads, they would know. And then, at about 75%, the book started to fall apart for me for some reason. I don't know why it was starting to fall apart, but it did. And then I was thinking it was the last chapter is, unless you check. Yes, I'll give 3.5 stars, which is still a very high rating. It's crazy, because 7 Year Sleep for me is almost a perfect book. So, maybe my expectations are very high.

12:35

I liked it while it lasted and had a little spice. I can't remember if other books have spice or not. I will choose a new book, finally I will read a book I wanted to read for a long, long, long time. We are making a sudden guide. I will read Recursion by Blake Crouch. It looks like a science fiction mystery. Honestly, I don't even know what it is. I'll start and then I'll tell you.

12:55

But I'm reading because my friend Ashley loves the book and I need something different. I started last night. I had a nightmare for the first time. I hope it's not because of this book, because chapter 1 starts with 1. Well, I can't say, but I'll tell you what it's about when I find out. We arrived in Delaware and it's raining a lot. I'm reading in the car. I hope it stops raining and then I'll run to the Airbnb.

13:18

I'm reading Recursion, by Blake Kraut, now. 5% read. One hour to go until the end of the chapter, wow!

13:28

I'm afraid that the emotions will get in the way. I'm afraid. We just got to the most beautiful house I've ever seen in my life. I'm afraid of being compromised. And a nigga in the middle of the night.

13:54

And say that you are not able to stop. It's 9.30 at night on the 25th of May, which means we're exactly halfway. We arrived in New Jersey today. We are in a cabin on the lake and, in my opinion, so far, this may be the most beautiful place we have ever been, which is to say a lot, because Colorado is insane. Many places are Rian knowing, someone appeared to surprise us. I was peeing in the bathroom with a window facing out. Suddenly, I see a Ferrari parking. Dr. Mike and two filmmakers come out. And this episode is crazy, so I think you should watch it

14:38

for yourself. Basically, he wanted to give us the car to sell and donate to the ST, Judy, which gives about US $ 70,000. So, he did that. We had to turn the wheel of misfortune and finally we got the division. So, if you haven't seen the series and don't know what I'm talking about, or watched that episode, you should definitely watch it. For me, that hasn't happened yet. This is my tomorrow.

14:55

But I'm genuinely very nervous about it tomorrow. that had started the recursion of Blake Kraut. I read the first chapter, which starts a little dark, and I had a nightmare that night. Am I blaming the book? No, but I haven't had nightmares since then. Basically, what I mean here is that I think I'm going to love the book, but I need a different vibe now, which makes me very bad for presenting books and another romantic comedy. I would love to read something set in the lake or something like a summary of the farm. So, that's what I'm looking for.

15:29

But it's so strange not to be at home and see my TBR because I only have this device in my hand and I think, what should I do? Enter Instagram to find out which book I want to read next. Where am I? I'll update you when reading now at this moment. I'm kind of because I'm always more curious about the novel. Day 26 in New York. We survive the split. And during my time alone, I really went to Barnes & Noble

15:55

and bought a First Time For Everything by KL Walter. And it has small edges painted with cute sprays and I started reading. We are in the coolest cabin of all. It looks amazing.

16:09

Something you can trust in me. Close your eyes, because you are right.

16:12

It was already the 29th, we are in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Not in Cape Cod, where you need to get a raft, but in Buzzards Bay. So, we survived the separation. Now, we are in New England, which I was waiting for since the beginning of the series. And Giovanni's Nick just made us a grilled lobster and it was delicious. But look where we are staying.

16:30

We are in a lighthouse. And this is exactly how my Pinterest painting that I have had for years came to life. I can't believe it. And I went to Duncan. The biscuit dough is really amazing. Duncan has always been a success or a failure to this end. They have been consistent. And I have 123 pages in this book, which is good, because it seemed that I couldn't finish a single book.

16:46

I think I'll finish this one. I'm enjoying the plot so far. I'll be close. You're not afraid of love. You're afraid of love. All right. All right. I'm here. All right? All right? It's over. Just tell me if you want my love or not.

17:10

I don't want to be that. Still a million miles from you. Yes, hello, New Wing Child. It's the 20th. No, oh my God, it's the 31st. We're at the house of the 30 now. But I'm about to finish this book. I've been holding it every second I have free, which only shows how much I'm liking it now. I've been trying to stay away from my phone, but this book is making it honestly easy.

17:37

So, I'm so excited to finally finish another book. And I didn't realize, but one for young adults is exactly what I was looking for now. Day 3250 I'm here. It takes a second. Vermont. If you ask me where I was two days ago, it takes 10 minutes to find out. It's so beautiful here. We are staying in a glass house. It's practically invisible from the outside. It's crazy. And I'm wearing this hat because the insects are crazy.

18:01

Don't mind the wheel of misfortune. I wanted to film this review of the book from the outside because it's beautiful, but those flies are implacable. I finished the first time for everything by Kaelle Walter yesterday. My special edition, cute. I bought it during the separation. So, now it's one of the three books I have on the road, which is still a lot because I have to send them back at some point before we fly to Alaska and Hawaii. But I'm excited to have this book in my collection because I love her Summer of Broken Rules. It was one of my first books 5 stars of summer. And then I read what happens after midnight, of her, and it was like 3 stars. It was fun.

18:31

But in this, we follow Meline, who is 17 years old, completing 18. We follow her throughout a whole year. So there are small inserts of each season, and her older brother, Austin, to marry Cat, and she doesn't really know if she likes Cat that much, but she ends up making Melinne her queen of honor anyway. So, she's trying to get along with all these 20-something-year-old girls, and they're all big The Bachelor fans. So, they decide to pretend that Melinne is in The Bachelor and book dates for her until the wedding, so that she has someone to dance with her at that wedding. And basically it ends up being a lot of dates and a loving triangle. And it was so good. It was really all I needed. I didn't realize I was in the mood for a book for young adults, but everything I was

19:08

describing was like, this is making me very sad or very emotional, and I just want something far from my real and happy world. I want the problems to be trivial, mischievous dramas, things like that. And a book for young adults tends to deliver those things. It didn't end the way I expected because she doesn't like Cat in the beginning. And then the family drama that happens left me in doubt. I really didn't know where things would go to the end. It was a slow start, but after I got in the mood, I really liked it.

19:34

And as I said yesterday, I didn't want to take my phone, which was amazing. So I think I'll give a 3.75, which is a high rating. It was a very good book and I'm very happy to have finished another book. I feel like I haven't finished many, so I started another one right away and didn't know what to read. And I feel like we're all in the wave of releases, where, like, April, May and June, every new release of my favorite authors comes out, and I read them all. And then I think, what's in my TBR? What am I going to read next? Then I sent a direct to Amy, my favorite booktuber, asking her favorite indie romance or fantasy books read lately. And one of the books she recommended was Fighting Spirit, by Anna Harrison, which I had seen somewhere on her YouTube or Instagram, and I fell in love with the cover of this book.

20:14

She has Han's feet, which is intriguing at first, but it's because she's the mascot of an American college football team. So, this is Ruth's point of view. And so, the guy's point of view, Rowan, is about to become the coach of an American rival football team. They really should stay away from each other. It's a college romance. And I'm in the mood to read light and cute things about college problems and jokes. I downloaded the book this morning and already read 28%, which is a lot of fun.

20:37

I love reading books by authors I've never heard of, especially independent authors. It's a's very fun. Romance with sports mascots. I never thought it would be so fun to read about something like that, but it is, because I think she writes in a very funny way. So, it's going very well. I feel like I'm getting out of that strange reading crisis I was in. I saw this chart the other day. You've probably seen it, but it's like a cycle of giving up and starting over instead of really reading something to the end. And I feel that in this video I was falling into the kind of thing where I finish a book by half, I finish 60% of a book and then I give up for something new and bright. And now I'm finally

21:09

finishing the books again. But I'm not going to lie, even with this one, I was tempted to give up at first because I thought, ah, no, and if I don't get stuck and you're afraid of getting least this book didn't disappoint. And the satisfaction of finishing a book makes you start the next one with everything. I hope this helps you if you're doing the same thing as me, picking up new books and never finishing reading. My Kindle just recommended a book to me, and that's really crazy. Let's see what happens if I click on it.

21:46

Wow, this is driving me crazy. I can read the description, this is crazy. It's not mine anymore, it's from the world. This is very scary. It's the 37th of May, a crazy number. And now we are in Illinois, more specifically in Chicago.

22:10

We are staying in what was once a factory. So, it's really cool. Like, all the furniture has to be huge because it's a very big space. I didn't notice the interval between the clips because I was about to do a review of Tartarugas down there, by John Green. And I didn't even do a review of Fighting Spirit, by Anna Harrison.

22:25

So, this was a very fun college romance. It was his debut novel and was published on its own, which I find very impressive. I wanted to get the book initially because I love the cover so much. The Toad's Feet really caught my attention. And I thought, I need to understand the plot of this book. The first chapter is super engaging right away, and I think my favorite part of the book was like the first 50%. But I think he definitely did everything I wanted because I was kind of in a reading crisis.

22:49

And I read this book in two days. So, if you're looking for a fun, fast and light university sports romance, the main character also has ADHD and there was a little soft spice in the book. So, I think I'll give it 3.5 stars. It was everything I was looking for at that moment. And so, changing the subject drastically, I was randomly recommended a video by John Green on YouTube and I thought, Oh, yes, I loved reading his books when I was a kid.

23:09

I read The Guilt of the Stars about three times. I read Paper City and Who Are You? Alaska. Quotes. But I never read Tartarugas down there. And he gives several interviews in which he talks about how he used his own experience with TOC and also turn it into a movie. So, I thought it would be a lot of fun to read the book and then watch the movie. And as soon as I read chapter 1, I thought,

23:27

that's what I want to read now. And now I'm almost done. So, I'm going to finish and then do my analysis, which made me very excited. This book takes place in Indiana, and I was in Indiana when I started reading it.

23:41

And they even mentioned a highway that I'm sure I've been close to, said I-469, and we were at I-465, which is pretty crazy. It's the 40th of May. This is crazy. We are in Minnesota now. It's so beautiful here. This house used to be a water pump house.

24:13

I didn't even know what it was before we showed up here, but it's right on the upper lake. And it's so cool for me to see this with my own eyes because one of my favorite books is Beat Reed, by Emily Henry. And this book takes place in Lake Michigan. So, people always say, why is it called Beat Reed if it takes place in a lake? And then you see the lake and think, this is totally fair. At least in my opinion, this thing is huge.

24:31

But today I'm in my pajamas because Rian and I are not just doing the split because we reached 5 million dollars in donations to the ST, Judy. But we also had to turn the wheel of misfortune again and we had a day off all day. So, before that crazy day happens, my turtle analysis down there. I feel like I don't even have enough time to analyze it because I want to talk about it for a long time. But the book is about Asa'a. She is a teenager in high school and fights against the touch.

24:55

And the thing she is particularly obsessive about and fearful about is contracting CFF, Cadiph, some kind of excessive growth of bacteria in the intestine, I think. And I don't know if that's totally accurate, but in the book, she talks about how if she caught it, she would die in four days. I don't know if that's an exaggeration or not. I'm sure the cases may be different, but in her mind, reopening the wound and so fearing that it is infected and doing all this cycle again. Now, the real plot of the book is that there is a billionaire who disappeared and if you find it or have information to find it, you can win the 100 thousand dollars.

25:33

So Asa and her best friend Daisy decide that they should try to find this billionaire because they know the son of billionaire Davis since childhood and both need the money. Asa definitely remembers having a fall for Davis when she was a child, but they haven't spoken for a long time, so she doesn't expect him to remember her. It turns out he remembers her. He remembers that she loves to drink Dr. Pepper. So, that's how they meet when they're fiddling with his property trying to find his father. And although

25:56

this is the initial plot, the rest of the book is really taken by the obsessive-impulsive disorder of OSA, which is the main point because, as John Green described, at least for him, this is how he feels in life. And he really wanted to use this book to try to find out how to explain how these thoughts and feelings are in language. Because he talks about how when you try to describe pain, you start using words, but you can never really describe how it is. And the metaphor takes you even further away from the feeling. So, he tried to show it in the way he would write the dialogue and how he would change to italic to be the obsessive thought and then she would respond to the obsessive thought and how they were fighting in her mind. It was very impressive. He talked about how difficult it was to find out how to write it, and I think he did a great job. This was one of the most fascinating parts of reading this book, for sure. It's visceral. It seems like you're in her mind and feel her suffering

26:45

for feeling trapped and as if you couldn't get out of those thoughts. So, there's that part and there's also a subplot of romance between Aza and Davis and both are too smart for their own good. So, it's like the apex of two in love nerds, which is my dialogue. There's nothing I love more. I don't know why. I grew up in a STEM school, so I feel like it reminded me of my colleagues. I don't know why I like it so much. Yes, I found this book so impressive. I wanted to keep reading to find out what was going on.

27:14

So, I'm giving it 4.5 stars. Honestly, one of my favorite books I read this year. I highly recommend you read it. It's funny because it's like, yes, John Green. Have you heard of this little author? Of course, I love this one. I loved his books when I was a kid. I still love them. And now I watch the movie. I had forgotten about it. It's also very short because it's in the young adult category. So, now I'm trying to figure out what to read next. And it took a long time, but I finally got to A Million Journeys, of Emily Henry. I've read all of her romantic comedies, all of them twice and some of them three times,

27:45

but I've never read her list of books, when she used to write science fiction novels for young adults. And I think reading a John Green for young adults made me want to read this one by Emily Henry for young adults in a random genre that I usually don't read. I'm I evolved a lot, I hope so. So it's a lot of fun to see where it came from, where these beach reads and happy places came from in these books first. I'm really enjoying it so far,

28:29

but I'll keep reading before I tell you what it's about, because I'm still kind of discovering. But I know it's a reread of Romeo and Juliet. This is where things start to go a little crazy, in a good way. After the 40th day, I didn't do many updates until we started flying. So, for the first time, we flew to Alaska. From there, we would fly to California and, finally, to Hawaii. And in the process, I finished A Million Junies, by Emily Henry, and started The Other Side of Now, from Paige Harrison.

29:14

Reading in Alaska.

29:15

Madness! Now I'm reading on Beliche, 80%, come on! It's the 48th day. It seems crazy. And we arrived in Alaska today. Today was the first day we flew, which was a crazy feeling. And this view is different from everything I've ever seen in my life.

29:33

There are so many trees. And we are staying in this cozy cabin. And I haven't done a review of A Million Junies by Emily Henry yet. So, I'll do that. But I want to tell you what I'm reading now after finishing this book. I kind of reread bits of Beat Red and Fun Stories just for nostalgia. Sometimes, I only read the chapters of my favorite books.

29:50

But I had read a book I saw called The Other Side of Now. I just found it on Goodreads, read the synopsis and it seemed very interesting to me because it's like a book of magical realism about how her life could have been if she had made a different choice. So, I read and couldn't go deeper into anything. So, I went back to Emily Henry's books, but with time, before going to sleep, I read just a few pages of the book. So, I read 15% of it by accident.

30:14

It was slow at first, but I think it was because I was in a reading crisis. Because today, when we got on the plane, I took the book and read. I went from 15% to 80% and I couldn't stop reading. I'm loving it. I loved the scenario and I want to tell you everything about it. So, I'll keep reading and then I'll tell you what it's about. I wanted to be able to take this home. This view is amazing. I can't get over it. Okay, The Other Side of Now follows a woman named Lana Lord. She is an actress from a very c soap opera. She lives in Los Angeles and basically all the stereotypes of being an actress in Los Angeles apply to her. She has the job done. She has to continue with this diet.

30:52

I think it's her birthday. She has a party at her house and everyone is superficial. Even her boyfriend can be attracting. And she just decides, you know, I'm already fed up with this. And she's going to book a spontaneous flight and a chalet at the Airbnb in Ireland. So she does that. She gets to a cute chalet. This is where she cheated on me. Before all that, I kind of thought, what's going on?

31:11

I don't know if I like it or not, but it was funny. I admit it. But when she gets to Ireland, she goes to a small pub and a girl enters, as if she had known her for years. And the guy who works behind the counter is also acting very familiar with her and as if they were fighting, perhaps a term of relationship. And then, she thinks, ok, what's going on? Why does everyone here in Ireland know me? Quotes. It turns out that she was thrown into an alternative life, where if she had chosen to go to the school of her dreams in Ireland, as she

31:39

wanted in high school, this is the life she would have led. And it's completely the opposite of her life in Hollywood. It's a small town. Life is small and simple. And there's someone from her past who wasn't alive. But in this timeline, he's alive. But in this timeline, they don't talk and she has no idea why. So, there's a certain mystery to it and there's also only her experiencing what this alternative life would be like. And it's so cool because you kind of forget that it's not a romance book. It's written the way a fun and light romantic comedy would be written,

32:10

except that it's not really about romance. It's more about this friendship and about her exploring happiness in a life that's not in Hollywood. And the scenario is simply amazing. And it's so fast too, because I just want to find out what's going on. A book so random that I just found it on Goodreads and couldn't drop it all day. I got lost in this story, which is just great when you're traveling. Like, on the planes, I forgot I was flying because I wanted more time to read my book.

32:33

So, yes, 80% read. We only have two more states and I think I'll finish because I have more flights to make tomorrow. It's so fun, reading in Alaska tomorrow, California and then Hawaii and 11 books along the way. I want a house in the mountains, for which I pay high points. I don't have a purse. I want to empty my wallet. I want to stop motion. It's the 49th of May. We're in Los Angeles, in a castle, to be more specific. Hello! It's the 50th of May visiting all 50 states and we arrived in Hawaii, the most beautiful house I've ever seen. This is really unreal, as if the background noise was the ocean. There's just one screen there so you're basically on the outside

33:25

and it's so beautiful and I'm very grateful and excited to be here. In terms of reading, yesterday, when I was trying to update in Los Angeles, Rian called me and I had to go back to filming, but I was going to say that I finished The Other Side of the Door, or this is a Taylor Swift song, The Other Seven Year Sleep, Magic Realism, more female fiction, but there is also a romance subplot, probably less romance than Ashley Poston's book,

33:50

I think you will love this book. The element of magic realism of her being in a different world made me turn the page. I loved the cozy atmosphere she created in Ireland. It was such a good little town with great characters. And I never saw this theme in Greece so well worked on in a book. This theme of how to look back, to before your life, when something tragic happens, and just want to have looked at them with more gratitude and hugged more and done all those things you should have done with the vision you have now. But how

34:16

simply it is not possible for us to be grateful to people in our lives all the time, because you just have to live. And part of that life is not worry about the future when you may not have them. What is such a subtle emotion with which I think many people can identify, was a great theme in the book. Like, I feel it was really cathartic for me to read, which is something I love a lot in fiction, so I would say to read this book, I think it would be a 4.25 stars for me. I would have to think more about it, but it was so good. I would highly recommend this book.

34:45

And now I'm reading Perfect Fit, by Cla Guillemot. I gave 5 stars to her book, Love Interest. I read it during the 24-hour reading video at a book hotel with Sarah and Destiny. Such a fun video. And it was like 2 in the morning when I read this book, and I just loved it. So I was very excited for her new release, Perfect Fit, and it takes place in Austin and we are following Josie, who owns her own clothing brand. So, the vibrations are so fun. And so the main male love interest, his name is Will Grant. He is an investor, but in fact they have a history of high school, which we still do not know for sure.

35:13

So, there is a natural mystery in this, which I always love, and I'm already 20% read, and I'm really a good phase with my books now, and I'm in Hawaii now, so I'm obviously very excited. And if I have time to read, I'll take advantage. I went to sleep tonight so excited to wake up on the 50th of May, without having any idea that several of our friends flew to surprise me and celebrate the end. It was the best day of all. We are so bad, we are so bad. It's day 52 of 50, which means we finished the series 2 days ago.

35:55

And if you saw the end, several of our friends surprised us, which means I'm here with Bri. So, let's do a reading update. Now I'm 38% laughing at Perfect Fit by Claire Gilmore. And I'm really enjoying the vibe. Come on, there were some good quotes.

36:09

This is really the best part of Kindle. How accessible your quotes are. Because in a physical book, you have to see where you stood out. This is just a dialogue tag. He just says something random. He says, is that what you think?

36:21

He finally asks as if he were holding a bracelet of friendship, waiting to see if I would put it on. This is very cute. This is cute. This is very cute. She says, I don't want us to be a distraction to each other. Will puts his hands in his pants pockets.

36:33

He laughs briefly, bites his lip and asks, do you plan to stop existing? This is very cute. These are cute little romantic dialogues. I'm reading a Golden Summer by Carly Fortune, which I feel is really the summer romance that everyone is giving the highest marks. So, how far are you? Like, a good 5 pages. What do you think? I'm enjoying the vibe because what I'm feeling is that the main character is a photographer, and I love how at the beginning it's just her talking about photography and her eye for it.

37:05

But I'm literally on the fifth page. A few hours after this clip, we flew home and three weeks later, we went to Memphis, Tennessee, to visit the ST campus, Judy and meet some of the children who watched the series. And that was really the best part of my whole summer. And although the trip is over, you can always donate to the SP Children's Research Hospital, Judy. And in terms of reading, I read about 8 books. But I'll tell you a little secret. Ian and I still have 20 minutes left of the

37:32

audiobook Sunrise on the Ripping, but I couldn't be more grateful for this amazing summer. audiobook Sunrise on the Ripping, but I couldn't be more grateful for this amazing summer. I'm used to living adventures reading all the time, but living one really changed my life.
