Where’d it go?

As the batter hit the ball directly towards the pitcher at 108 miles per hour, the pitcher couldn't possibly get out of the way fast enough.The ball rocketed straight into him and for a moment, he clutched at his stomach.But Logan Gilbert didn't seem too hurt by it.In fact, what was more concerning to him was that the ball seemed to have completely disappeared.He looked around frantically until he felt something under his shirt.

Gilbert couldn't believe it.He thought it was the most incredible catch in his career and he thought he got the batter out until the umpire called time and then awarded the batter first base because oddly enough the MLB umpire manual has actually considered this possibility.In fact in baseball there's a rule for just about any strange place a ball could get stuck but even though he gave up a base Logan Gilbert's team did still win and he was really just happy the ball didn't get lodged somewhere else.
